||Chapter 7||

Alex was woken to the sound of dishes clanking in the kitchen,

he got changed into his uniform and ran down stairs, thinking Norma had come home

"Sorry it's just me.....I made you some pancakes....you wanna sit down?"

Alex sat down in the chair closest
to him
"Since when do you cook"
Summer gave Alex a little smirk

Alex sat back in his chair as summer brought a plate full of pancakes over to him following with a cup of coffee

"This came for you this morning" summer placed a white envelope on the table
Alex opened it and began to read the little black letters he stopped , grabbed his coat and keys and headed for the door
"summer stay here I'm not gunna be long I just need to go and see Norma....okay"

"I'm 16 I can look after my self"

Alex kisses summer on the cheek and heads for the car ,clenching the letter in his palm
He tried calling Norma but her  phone went straight to voicemail

"Hey this is Norma ....Norma bates I'm probably busy managing the desk right now ....but if I like you ...and you leave a message ...I might get back to you"

"Hey Norma it's Alex ....I'm on my way to the hospital....we need to talk"
Alex drives to the hospital as he arrives at the emergency room he sees Norma sat on the steps with her head in her palms
"Hey..we need to talk"

Norma looks up at Alex with mascara running down her face
Alex sits next to her, Norma places her head on Alex's shoulder
"What happened"
Alex asked while brushing his hand over Norma's head

"Ummm...she....the baby......she didn't make it....Alex...."
Norma grabs on to Alex and hugs him tightly

Alex was a little confused
"Who's gone...what's happened" Alex lifts Norma's head to face him

"They BABY Alex .....the baby's dead"

" .....I'm so sorry Norma" he grabs Norma and hugs her the tightest he's ever hugged her

"I'll be fine ....and so will Dylan .......but Emma .....Emma is so broken ......she won't talk to anyone ...she won't look at anyone .........I haven't seen anyone this empty since my mother.........and when I looked into Dylan's eyes ....all I saw was pain........because he knows he isn't going to have his baby ...she's just gone"
Norma dries her tears and gets up

"Don't say that....she'll be fine ...she's strong .....she will get through this"
Alex gets up after Norma as she makes her way inside

"Go into the room Alex ....sit with her........she's given birth to her dead baby and she didn't have a choice .......she's not allowed to rise it , talk to it........watch it grow it's gone ....and I'm so scared that shes gunna shut her self down, she won't be the same person alex ....you watch"

Alex walked over to Norma putting his hand on her shoulder lightly
"Stop it, that's not going to happen, she's strong, she's gunna hold her head up high and she's gunna get through this , just like Dylan will, just like we will, okay?...now let's go in there together, and be there for them"

"Okay" a single tear leaves Norma's face as she slowly makes her way into Emma's room alex joins them, the room is silent

"Dylan I'm so sorry" Alex shakes Dylan's hand

"It's okay ....we will get through this....all of us" he holds Norma's hand and slightly squeezes it,
"they said we can hold her if we wanted to ....if you guys want to .... she's in the angel room right now but ....I can't do it alone so it's your choice guys"
