||Chapter 6||

Norma was lying on her bed crying over the fact she was going to go through this alone ,
"Knock knock" Summer opens the door and sees that Norma's been crying

"Heyyy are you okay?"
She walks over to the bed and sits on the edge

"I'm fine ..........thank you"

"Okay Well Dylan's on the way to pick me up, he says Emma's working late so he's gunna take me to the movies and then I'm going to stay at there house .....just for a night....I mean it gives you and dad some alone time"
summer reaches for Norma's hand

"Okay hunny...do you need some money??"

Summer sits up
"No no it's fine seriously"

Summer pushes back Norma's hand while Norma tries to give her $40

"Seriously take it" Norma drops the money in summers lap

"Are you sure?" Summer hugs Norma

"I'm positive....you have fun okay"
Norma hugs summer back

"Thank you!...By the way Norma?"

"Yeah?"

"Your allowed to say when your not okay  where not going to judge , where family , stop acting like you need to be happy all the time, it's not healthy..........I love you"

Summer walked off leaving Norma a little shocked....was she shocked because she said "I love you" or was she shocked because summer totally red her mind

It' was 7pm and Norma was alone in the house, she couldn't deal with the silence so she began to play the piano

"I know I know your apart your apart of my heart but tonight"

"You belong to me"
Alex walks over to the piano singing the end of the song

"Oh my god Alex!! You scared me" Norma places her head into her palms "Don't do that again" she turns to face the piano

"Can we talk"

"About what" Norma says firmly

"I won't go to New York .......not if it means I loose you" Alex grabs Norma's soft delicate hands and places it in his "This ring on your finger means till death do us part I am here to protect you , that's what I signed up for ,I need to look after you.......you mean more to me then any stupid job....and it was really selfish of me to put that burden on you....I'm really sorry"
Alex put his head down in embarrassment

Norma could tell how much he wanted this , his job was his life ,
She picks up his head slowly
"I can look after my self for 6 months" Alex looks up to her

"What?"

"I want you to go alex" Norma looks back at the piano And begins to play the again

"You want me to go?" Alex looks sadder then he ever has

"Well what do you want me to say alex.....do you want me to beg you to stay, cry loads of tears and tell you I need you....I don't need you ....I don't need a man to protect me ...I can protect my self" Norma slams her hands down on the piano keys

"You don't need me?" Alex gets up and walks for the door

"Alex wait"

"just remember, this is you pushing me away"
he slams the door leaving Norma once again alone with her emotions ....what had she just done ?

"What have I done!"
Norma grabs her coat and runs after alex
"Alex.....ALEX!!..wait!!!."
She runs down the steps towards Alex he turns around , it was raining so he was all wet and so was Norma
"of course I need you!....I need you more then I've ever needed anyone .... I need you everyday , every hour , every second , I just need you , and it will hurt as hell to let you leave ...but if it makes you happy I don't give a shit" she walks up to Alex and pulls him close
