Chapter 12: Yoongi

"Hey, guys! We have something to tell you." Taehyung and Jungkook had just arrived at Yoongi's apartment, where they had asked all of their other friends to come.

Yoongi had no idea what the hell was going on and frankly, he doesn't care. He hadn't slept for a good 24 hours because he had to finish writing a 28-page essay and then actually go to school to turn it in. Jimin was worried and told him it was time to go to sleep but then Taehyung texted the group chat and that plan was postponed.

Yoongi groaned, "What is it Taehyung; you're keeping me from my sleep."

Taehyung and Jungkook both had huge grins and that's when Yoongi noticed their interlocked hands. Taehyung spoke, "Jungkook has the second chance bond," They both pulled down their shirts to show writing on their collarbones, "And I'm his second chance."

Everyone's eyes widened at the news, jun even gasped.

"Th-that's amazing! I'm so happy for you guys!" Hoseok stood up and hugged the two boys.

Jin still had the look of shock on his face when he spoke, "This is so unexpected. I would have never thought is be able to see Taehyung have someone to be with forever and now he has a soulmate. This is such good news!"

Jimin had a huge smile plastered on his face, "I can't believe that actually worked. I'm so happy for you guy. Taehyung, your prayers have finally been answered; turns out the universe was paying attention after all."

Taehyung smiled at Jimin and then turned to Jungkook, Yoongi noticed the love in his eyes, "Yeah, I can't believe this is actually happening. This is the best thing that's ever happened to me actually," Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jungkook upper arm and Jungkook looked down at him, "you the best thing that ever happened to me."

Yoongi made a gagging sound, "I'm happy for you and all but please don't go around shoving your job in other people's faces, it's disgusting."

Taehyung snorted, "are you serious hyung? I've been waiting for this moment my entire life. I'll shove this in all of humanities face. I'll scream it at the top of my lungs. JEON JUNGKOOK IS MY SOULMATE! I HAVE A SOULMATE!"

Taehyung screamed and Jungkook turned a bright shade of red. He put his arms around Taehyungs waist and laughed at his other half, "Ok Taehyung, that's enough shouting for now." He kissed him on the cheek and Taehyung looked at Jungkook like he was the only thing in the word, honestly, the whole thing felt like it wasn't meant to be seen.

The whole thing also annoyed Yoongi to the core. He couldn't understand. Why? Why did Taehyung, someone who didn't even had a soulmate, to begin with, meet his other half before Yoongi? How did Jungkook, someone that was never supposed to have a soulmate again, have a soulmate before Yoongi?

Was it Yoongi? Did he do something wrong?

Yoongi stood up from where he was sitting and went to his room, leaving everyone to discuss the new couple. He went quickly and quietly so no one noticed.

He sat down on his bed and looked down at his hands. It was moments like these that reminded him of his teen years; years that were the darkest in his life.He remembers how lonely he had felt, how he constantly thought that he simply didn't have a soulmate because they never spoke. He remembers how worried his parents were and how they got him antidepressants. None of them ever worked, though.

It was only when he started college did things start to get better. He met new people, one of them being Jimin. Jimin really helped Yoongi through a kit, even if he wasn't aware of it. It was in Jimin nature to be kind, loving, and caring. He always tried to cheer Yoongi up and -

Oh God, what is he thinking?! He can't think of Jimin like that. It's not fair to either of them.

He appreciates everything the boy has done for him but he can't dwell on the feelings he got when the younger smiled or laughed.

The longer Yoongi thought about this the more he was reminded of how sad he was. He was still looking down at his hands, although now they were wet with tears when he heard the door quietly creek open. Yoongi didn't care who it was he just wanted then to go away.

"Go away, I-I'm tired, just leave me alone." He croaked out.

There was a sigh and then Yoongi felt the bed dip down and a hand on his back, "Well, maybe we could take a nap then. I'm a little tired too. It's been a busy day."

Yoongi looked up to see Jimin giving him a sad, small smile. He looked back down. He wished he could stop crying, not in front of Jimin. Jimin isn't supposed to see him like this.

He felt Jimin rub his hand on his back, "you know, I don't blame you. For leaving back there. I don't think any of them would. They understand I understand. Why does Taehyung get a soulmate and you don't? Why does Jungkook get another soulmate when you can't get yours?" Yoongi cried harder and Jimin pulled him into his lap and held him, "God, if your other half could see you like this, he-he'd hate himself. He wouldn't be able to live with themselves."

"You don't know that. " Yoongi mumbled

Jimin snorts, "I know much more than you think Yoongi."

Yoongi didn't exactly know what he meant by that so he just stayed quiet and let Jimin hold him. It was nice, its been awhile, years since he let someone hold him. Jimin was soft, he was always like this. Always wanting to make sure Yoongi was ok, taken care of. He would never say it out loud, but Yoongi loved it when Jimin did that.

After a while, when Yoongi was starting to drift to sleep in Jimin arms, Jimin spoke again, "Come on, I wasn't joking when I said we should take a nap. The others already left."

Yoongi nodded his head but made no sign of moving.

Jimin laughed lightly and moved Yoongi a laying position, and laid down next to him. Yoongi was basically asleep by now but he felt Jimin wrap his and around his middle and snuggle his head into his neck.

Right before Yoongi finally fell asleep for good he heard Jimin say something that he wouldn't be able to remember later but caused a lot of questions I'm his mind.

"I'm sorry Yoongi. I promise I'll tell you soon."
