Chapter 17 - The Future, Interviews, and an Uke?

A couple of months have passed and I helped the businesses that the Akatsuki crushed get back on their feet. Actually, because I did this Makuna Enterprises got bigger and better. Not only that, everyone said that they loved me being the new person in charge as well. I was working at my new office and then my secretary came in. "Hey sis" she said, as I smirked and looked at her. "Have a good date with blonde girly boy?" I asked, as she smiled. "Yup" she said, as I smirked. "You know... Itachi has been asking about you" she said, as I closed my eyes. "That's nice" I said turning my chair away from her and she sighed. "Come on Scarlet... you know he had no choice" she said. "Please leave Lilith. I'm busy" I said, as she sighed but nodded. "I would still like to see you happy again... you were only really happy around Itachi" she said walking out the door. I turned my chair back around and pulled out my drawer. Inside was my engagement ring and I just sat there looking at it. I then paused as my intercom buzzed. "Your four P.M. interview for the reprehensive is here ma'am" said my secretary from downstairs in the lobby. "Yeah send them in" I said putting my ring away and closing my drawer. My eyes widened seeing Itachi at my office door way. "Hello Scarlet" he said, as I growled and glared at him. "What the hell? Get out" I shouted standing up while slamming my fists on my desk. He placed his resume in front of me on my desk. "You know... ever since you gained courage and everything Konan out did Pein and ran the Akatsuki. She then forced him to leave" said Itachi, as I sat down and crossed my arms glaring at him. "I know I help her do it" I said, as he smirked and sat in the chair in front of my desk. "I know, she told me you did... and then she fired me after hearing what I did" he said, as I narrowed my eyes. "How very sad for you" I said sarcastically, as he smirked. "I heard you were hiring" he said, as I growled. "I'm not hiring you" I said. "You know that's discrimination... plus I still have those photos of us" he said, as I churned my teeth. "Why you piece of crap... after everything that's happened your going to throw that away just because... you... want... a... job" I said, as he smirked and leaned closer. I growled. "Don't you dare" I shouted, as he got up and closed his eyes. "I won't... I guess I'll have to admire you from afar for the rest of my life" he said, as I watched him walk out the door. Then paused as I saw something gold shining at my left eye. "Wait" I said, as he glanced at me. I walked over and my eyes widened seeing the weasel necklace around his neck. "You kept it" I said, as he looked at me. "Of course I did... you mean everything to me" he said, as I blushed when he cupped my face. It felt like an eternity since I felt Itachi's soft hand on my face. "Will you forgive me?" he asked, as I smiled and sighed. "Your are such a dog" I said, as he smirked and wrapped his arms around my waist. "Yeah, but I'm your dog" he said, as I sighed and punched his head. "Pervert" I said, as he smirked. "So do I have the job?" he asked, as I narrowed my eyes and punched his stomach. He held his stomach and smiled nervously. "I miss it when you do that" he said, as I closed my eyes. "I'll think about it" I said, as he stood up straight and smirked. "Scarlet" he said, as I glanced at him. "I love you" he said, as I stopped and my eyes widened watching him walk away. "Idiot" I said smiling happily while closing my eyes.

Once work was done, I basically ran out of the building and into the limo. "Where to Miss Makuna?" asked the driver, as I smiled. "The Skylight building on North Road" I said, as he nodded driving to Itachi's building. I got out once we arrived and ran towards the building. "I knew it" said Lilith, as I turned to her and she smirked. "Come on in" she said showing the key and I smirked closing my eyes. We walked in and took the elevator. We went to the top floor and walked towards Itachi's apartment door. Lilith unlocked it and we walked in. Our eyes widened seeing Itachi hovering over Deidara on the ground. "What the hell is going on?" asked Lilith, as they stopped and turned to us. "Uh nothing" said Deidara as he pushed Itachi off of him and Deidara walked towards us. "Really... because it looks like you were cheating on me with... Itachi" said Lilith, as I tried holding in my laughter... but I couldn't. I exploded into a laughing fit holding my sides. "Scarlet" said Lilith, as I slid on the ground continuing to laugh. "It's not that funny" said Deidara, as I laughed more. "Are you kidding....that's hilarious... you would so be the Uke too" I said, as Lilith spat out and started to laugh as well. "Lilith" shouted Deidara, as she snorted trying to hold in her laughter. "Let's go" said Deidara pulling Lilith's hand and they walked out the door. I was still laughing and then Itachi stood over me. "You came back" he said, as I closed my eyes finally done laughing. "For a visit" I said, as Itachi reached out his hand towards me and helped me up. I walked in and Itachi closed the door behind me. We walked to the couch and sat down. "Uh... so" said Itachi, as I glanced at him. "I'm willing to forgive you" I said, as he looked at me. "You are?" questioned Itachi, as I slowly nodded. "Yeah... but we have to start from the beginning. No more lying or keeping things from me and no-" I was about to say, but Itachi cupped my face and kissed my lips. My eyes widened, but I kissed him back. When we broke the kiss; he started chuckling. "What?" I asked, as he smiled and brushed my hair with his fingers. "Your a lot better kisser than Deidara" he said, as I laughed and threw a pillow in his face. "You idiot" I said, as he smirked and I hugged him. He looked down at me. "I... love you too" I said, as he stopped and smiled. "I have a favour to ask" he said, as I looked at him this time. "Oh?" I questioned, as he kissed my lips. As we broke the kiss; he smiled at me. "Move in with me" he said, as I smiled and nodded my head. "I'd love to" I said, as he hugged me.
