Chapter 24 - Blessing

We were eating lunch and then Lilith smirked looking at me. "So you must have had a good night last night" said Lilith. "What would make you think that?" I asked, as she took out a compact and my eyes widened. She showed me a hickey on my neck. "Uchiha" I said, as he smirked and nuzzled his face in my neck and I growled glaring at him. I then stopped as my cell phone rang. "Tsk, and you complain when my cell rings but you don't bitch when your sister's cell rings" said Deidara, as Lilith gutted his stomach. "Hello?" I said. "Grandfather" I said, as my eyes widened and Lilith's eyes widened as well. "Uh, your at the company? Uh, okay, yes the four of us will be there as soon as possible. Yes, understood" I said hanging up my cell. "The four of us?" questioned Itachi. "Grandfather Makuna wants to see you and Deidara, as well as Lilith and me" I said standing up. Itachi paid for my meal as well as his and Deidara paid for his and Lilith's meal. We got into Itachi's convertible and he drove us to Makuna Enterprises. We walked into the building and then my secretary walked towards us. "He's in your office upstairs Miss Makuna" said my secretary bowing her head. "Alright thanks" I said walking passed her as the four of us walked to the elevator and it started taking us to the top floor. "What's the big deal about this grandfather anyway?" asked Deidara "If he likes you, than you guys can hang around us more. If he doesn't, prepare for the worst" said Lilith, as Itachi and Deidara's eyes widened. "What? Are you kidding?" asked Deidara "To tell the truth Grandfather Makuna is the only person we actually trust after mother died" I said, as Deidara and Itachi looked at each other. "Damn it. Now you tell us. I could have cleaned myself or something" said Deidara "Like that would help" I said, as Deidara growled and then we stopped as we reached the top floor. The elevator doors soon opened and we walked out.

We walked towards my office. I opened the doors and smiled seeing Grandfather Makuna smiling towards us. "Ah, Lynn and Isabella" he said walking towards us and hugging us. "Lynn?" questioned Itachi "Isabella?" questioned Deidara "Scarlet L. Makuna. Scarlet Lynn Makuna. Lilith I. Makuna. Lilith Isabella Makuna" said grandfather, as they nodded. "Seriously girls, you haven't even told them your beautiful middle names I picked out for you" he said, as we bowed. "Sorry grandfather" we said bowing, as he smiled and patted our heads. "Now, now, we don't get anywhere by being doubtful and upset. Let's see" he said walking towards Itachi and Deidara. They gulped a bit and just looked at him. "The blonde one looks like a girl" said our grandfather, as Deidara growled. "The other one, well I suppose you could have them as a pet" said the grandfather, as Itachi narrowed his eyes. He walked around and sat at my desk. "But since you two have flourished this company. I suppose them around couldn't hurt anything" he said, as Lilith and I smiled at each other. "However" he said, as we looked at him. "I don't want any funny business" he said. "If you gentlemen are playing with my granddaughters emotions I want you to leave now. I will not have you hurting them like my ungrateful son did" he said folding his hands on my desk. "We're not like that" shouted Deidara, as he looked at him. "Oh? So if Lilith became pregnant out of nowhere and it was your child. What would you do?" he asked, as our eyes widened. "Grandpa" shouted Lilith, as he put up his hand towards Lilith and he narrowed his eyes at Deidara. "Well?" said my grandfather, as Deidara narrowed his eyes. "I would do anything for Lilith" he shouted, as Lilith and I looked at him shocked. "Deidara" said Lilith, as he growled while blushing. Our grandfather smiled and looked at us. "Your mother would be very happy to know that you have chosen good boyfriends" he said, as Lilith and I smiled at each other. "Well I'm off" he said standing up and walking out the door. "Did you really mean that Deidara?" asked Lilith walking up to him, as he blushed. "Duh. And when we do have a child. I'll be there" he said, as Lilith smiled and kissed his lips. I smiled but then noticed Itachi wasn't in the room. "Itachi?" I questioned, as I walked out of the room and then saw Itachi and my grandfather talking. "You want what?" asked my grandfather, as I hid behind a wall. "I want your blessing so I can marry your granddaughter" said Itachi, as my eyes widened. "Wasn't it you who agreed to pretend to marry her in the first place?" asked my grandfather, as Itachi narrowed his eyes. "I admit it was, and she has forgiven for it. I love her and I don't want to lose her again. So I want your permission" he said "And if I refuse? Will you still ask her?" asked my grandfather, as I clutched my heart. "Yes, but I know since your the only one she really respects it would mean the world to her if I had your blessing" said Itachi, as I had tears crawling down my face. I couldn't believe Itachi was asking this for me. "On one condition" said my grandfather, as I looked at him. "You get rid of her last name. The company can keep the name by all means and she can still own it, but the burden of her last name must parish" he said, as I smiled and Itachi looked at him. "Only if she wants my last name" said Itachi, as I slowly walked behind him. My grandfather smirked and closed his eyes. "Why don't you ask her yourself. Scarlet, that alright with you?" asked my grandfather, as Itachi stopped and turned his head towards me. "Scarlet" said Itachi, as he looked at me having tears crawl down my face. "I would love that" I said. Itachi then walked up to me and cupped my face. "Yeah?" he asked, as I closed my eyes with more tears crawling down my face. "Uh-huh" I said, as he kissed my forehead. "Well than Itachi Uchiha, you have my blessing" said my grandfather, as I smiled and Itachi smiled down at me. "Oh and one more thing. Hurt her and you'll feel my wrath. Tell that to the girl looking boy too" he said walking in the elevator and the doors closed. "That man scares me" said Itachi, as I giggled and hugged him.
