(This is going to be an intro, really short compared to the other chapters)
Dean Winchester was 16 when he met Castiel Novak.
Castiel was new to their high school and had wild dark brown hair that was slightly curly and all over his head; but Dean didn't notice that first. What he noticed was the piercing blue eyes that seemed to outshine everything around him.
When Dean was caught staring by his teacher she gave a knowing smile.
"Dean, why don't you show Mr. Novak around" She said.
When Dean looked up at her, he shook his head slightly. He knew why he was being asked to do so and he did not want everyone else to know he was staring at a boy.
"Shame, You were gonna get out of first period. Guess I'll ask someone else" Miss. Mills says, starting to turn. Dean sits up more at that and turns to the boy, novak? Who was watching their conversation.
"Ready for the best school tour of your damn life?" He questions, picking up his backpack as he starts to stand up.
Castiel gets up as well, nodding slightly letting Dean lead him out into the hallway, the whole ordeal was pretty awkward, but Dean had a feeling the Novak boy had no knowledge of it being awkward.
Once they get to the front of the high school Dean turns to Castiel, catching his glance with a soft slightly awkward smile.
"I'm Dean Winchester, what about you?" He asks, Castiel seems a bit timid before clearing his throat and finally speaking.
"Castiel" He says, then remembers his last name. "Novak" He adds at the end, pulling the sleeves of his sweater over his hands, as if to hide from Dean.
Dean nods, skimming his eyes along Castiels body before looking over the Hallway, starting to point certain rooms out that are important, and eventually asking for Castiels schedule to show him where his classes would be.
Some time during the tour Castiel lifts his hand to fix his hair, not that it would really help.
His hand brushes against Deans wrist, Dean feels a fire light in him, sourcing from that exact spot on his wrist.
When the bell rings Castiel walks down the hallway going towards his next class. Dean watches the boy walk away until the hallways too full and he can't see Castiel anymore.
Turns to walk to his class, but stops when he feels he can't breathe, suddenly feeling ash in his lungs. This was a lasting effect to the young Dean Winchester.
