While Castiel and Dean were on the way to the airport, Dean was dropping Castiel off, Dean made a promise to himself to not cry, he wouldn't let Castiel see that Dean was nothing more the completely excited for him.

When they finally arrived, Dean pulled up to the airport, right to the doors before putting the car in park and looking at the steering wheel of his 1967 Impala, he was attempting to push the thoughts of not seeing Castiel for a while back down, they were right at the line of boiling over.

Castiel is the first to speak up, he turns to Dean, looking over him for a moment before gently taking Deans hand, bringing it to his lips and kissing the back of it.

"I'll be back in a few months Dean. We only have till the end of may then you'll be picking me up from the airport" Castiel assures. He was trying to keep Deans spirits up. He knew Dean was holding back because he didn't want to make Castiel feel bad in anyway.

Dean slowly nods, looking at their hands.

"I know, I'm just going to miss you" Dean says softly. He turns so he's fully facing Castiel. He puts his other hand over theirs and leans in, kissing Castiel softly, Castiel kissing back, pulling away a few moments later.

"I should get in there. I gotta get through security" Castiel reminds Dean. Dean nods, unbuckling his seat belt. He gets out of the car, walking to the trunk and pulling out Castiels two suit cases, setting them on the ground in front of him, taking a few deep breathes to gather himself before closing the trunk. Just in time for Castiel to meet him at the back of the car.

Dean looks over Castiel. He wasn't expecting it but Castiel steps forward, hugging Dean tightly. Dean hugs back just as tightly, gripping onto his shirt slightly.

Dean closes his eyes, breathing in Castiel. He wasn't ready to say goodbye. He wasn't ready for Castiel to pull away, but he allows it to happen.

"I'll see you soon" Castiel speaks up, setting a hand on Deans cheek, caressing it with his thumb, leaning in and gently kissing Dean. Dean kisses back, wrapping his arms around Castiels neck.

Castiel is the first one to pull away. Dean offers a weak grin, watching Castiel, fixing his ridiculous trench coat that Dean had found a liking too.

"I love you..I'll be seeing you" Dean replies, finally meeting Castiels eyes. Castiel gives a small smile.

"I know you do" He replies, starting to turn, going towards the doors into the airport. Dean watches him walk off and waits till he's out of sight to allow the tear he was holding back to slip from his eye.

During the years that Castiel was away he only came back during the summer, he stayed in New York during the Holidays, saying it was too expensive to travel so often. Dean completely agreed, as he had payed for Castiels trip one of the times and it was really expensive.

In the three years Dean stayed busy. When Castiel was away at college Dean busied himself with school and work, He worked at his uncle bobbies garage. When ever he wasn't in school or work he was usually video chatting or on the phone with Castiel.

They had a pretty easy going relationship for those three years.

Now it was the day Castiel was supposed to come back and Dean was parked in the same spot he dropped Castiel off three years ago, leaning against the car and watching the doors. When he started to see people file out, Dean stands up straight, looking over the crowd, in search of Castiels dark hair.

When his green eyes lock with Castiels blue ones, Dean smiles wide and opens his arms, smiling even wider when Castiel actually runs the rest of the way to hug Dean tightly.

It had been nearly a year since they seen each other in person as the past summer Castiel stayed in New York in order to do some summer classes. Even though Dean missed him like hell he still supported Castiel.

When they finally pull apart Castiel kisses Dean right away. It was obvious Castiel had missed Dean just as much. Dean kisses back, smiling wide as Castiel pulls away a moment later.

"Missed me?" Dean laughs, setting his hands on Castiels cheeks. Castiel nods, looking up at Dean.

"More than you know" He says, before hugging Dean once again. He had missed everything about Dean. He loved Dean, he really did.

"I love you, Dean" Castiel speaks up again, wrapping his arms around him, pecking his lips once again. Dean laughs at that, holding Castiel a bit closer.

"I love you too" Dean says. He's more then happy that Castiel finally trusted Dean enough to say those words.

"Wanna go see the apartment?" Dean questions, looking at Castiel. He had rented out an apartment for them once he graduated out of college. He sent pictures to Castiel but still, pictures were different from actually seeing it in person.

Castiel nods, pulling away to put his suitcase in the trunk.

"Yeah" Castiel says. He was excited to spend the rest of his life with Dean. Dean felt the exact same way.
