Dean tried to push the thoughts of Castiel out of his head. He really had, But when he was at school his ears seemed to tuned to his voice. He would be walking down the hallway or sitting at lunch talking to a friend and he could hear Castiel from across the room.
He had no idea what was happening to him. He had never felt this way towards anyone, not even girls. He felt he couldn't keep his eyes off Castiel. He couldn't breath when Castiel was no where to be found for a day.
He wanted this all to stop. His usual problem fixer of ignoring the problem till it went away was not working, not one bit. So he decided to do the opposite; Dean was going to face the problem head on.
He was going to talk to Castiel.
He had a whole plan which would only help Castiels case against him. It was a stupid idea and totally made Dean feel like a middle school girl.
He had written the blue eyed boy a note, and now he was standing in front of his locker in the middle of his sixth period class. Dean could be learning about the history of the Greeks but instead he was stood here.
He opened the note, looking over it one more time before sighing deeply. This was so stupid, Dean was going to make a fool of himself. He rubs a hand over his face before pushing the letter through one of the small holes at the top of the locker before turning away and leaning against the locker, taking a deep breath.
There was no going back now.
Dean must have stayed like that far too long because when the bell rings and students began filling into hallway. Dean quickly composes himself before sighing softly and walking down the hall. He looks back just in time to see Castiel open his locket and see the note.
It was now eighth period and Dean, once again feeling very stupid was standing in the janitors closet where he told Castiel too meet him in the note.
He waited five minutes, his thoughts then getting the better of him, he puts his hand on the door handle to leave when suddenly the door opens and there's Castiel, ocean blue eyes and messy dark hair. He made everything else in the world sound ugly.
Dean steps back till he's against the wall and Castiel walks the rest of the way into the room, shutting the door behind him.
"Dean...I.. What's this about?" He questions, standing still, watching Dean with calm eyes.
Dean swallows thickly, opening his mouth to speak before closing it and looking away. He had no idea why he did this, everything he had in his head flew out the door when Castiel opened it.
"I- I'm not sure how to explain what I'm feeling..I'm not gay.. but-" Dean says, cutting himself off. He sounded stupid, he felt stupid, he should have just gone to math class. Why didn't he just go?
Castiel watches him for a long moment before speaking up.
"You don't have to be gay to have feelings for another boy, Dean" He says simply, he wasn't giving off any nervousness or anything really, he was just there, standing calmly, everything about him was just calm, and it pissed Dean off because everything about Dean was the complete opposite.
"That doesn't even make any sense" Dean retorts, he was quickly regretting this. Castiel wasn't making any sense.
"Well you can be bisexual, meaning you like both genders." He says, shrugging slightly. "Did you want me here to help you work through how you identify or is there more to this?" Castiel questions. he didn't like to miss class, he almost didn't show up but he was curious of what Dean had to say and he couldn't pass this up.
Dean looks at him when he says that and finally nods, leaning against the wall once again.
"I'm not sure..I think..that I like you. I'm not exactly sure what that means but I just- I can't get you out of my head and I have no idea what's wrong with me it's stupi-" Dean starts to rant but it cut off by Castiel walking across the small three by three space and pressing his lips against Deans, kissing him.
Dean barely has time to kiss back before Castiel pulls away and offers a small smile to Dean.
"Take time to think about that. You know where I'll be." He says, turning to leave and finally go to class. He had asked to go to the bathroom and he had been gone well over five minutes. He didn't want to get in trouble.
"Wait!" Dean says, freezing once again when Castiel turns to look at him once again. "I-I think we should...go on a date, maybe try this out?" He asks, looking at Castiel hopefully.
Castiel smiles in return, pulling a pen out of his pocket and taking Deans hand, writing his number on it.
"Call me after school, I have to get back to class" Castiel says before kissing Dean once more. When he pulls away he walks out of the closet, not giving Dean time to reply.
Dean is left standing on shaky legs, unable to take in all that just happened. He couldn't believe him, 18 year old star quarterback was acting like a preteen.
