Chapter 5 - Love You, Love You Not

And that was basically the end of the party. Yuu fumed so much as they left, having known all along that that was all they wanted to know.

To put it truthfully, Yuu was now even more terrified than before the party. Not only did he have to watch out for Mika and avoid him as was his daily routine, but he also had to make sure nobody else said anything! It majorly sucked, but it did feel good to have finally got it off his shoulders.

He loved Mika, and he wasn't afraid to let people know.

- A week later -

Yuu went down to dinner as was normal, and they all sat around together in silence eating. Mika suddenly stood, however; "I'm sorry... I need to go and do something... I'll be back" and he left. 

Shinoa decided to take this as an opportunity. "Sooooooo Yuu-chan~" she began, causing him to roll his eyes and start to stand up. He wasn't going to be embarrassed again by her.

"Ah ah ah" she tutted, fixing him with a steely gaze that caused him to sit immediately (why did he let this girl have so much power over him?!) "Good" she smiled.

"What do you even want Shinoa..." he muttered, taking another scoop of the soup in front of him.

"Have you asked him yet??" 

"Asked who what?" Yuu said, annoyed that she would just bring up the subject yet again.

"Don't act so dumb, you know what I mean!" she exclaimed. 

"Must you push him so hard?" Narumi said softly.

"I want to know, so I'm gonna ask him if I want" she huffed, justifying her stand.

Yoichi then decided to pipe up. "Err... I am also kind of curious as to what you have done since the party, Yuu-kun"

"See! Even Yoichi wants to know, so you have to tell us" Shinoa said, smiling slyly.

Yuu rolled his eyes again. "Finnneeee. Anything to shut you up. I have done nothing, and I don't plan on doing anything either."

"WHAT??!!" she exclaimed loudly, causing Mika to return to the room.

"Err... what is going on?" he asked. Everyone ignored him, and so he sighed and left. Shinoa jumped straight back into it, whispering harshly.

"You need to do something!!" 

"Why?! It's none of your business!"

"I don't care! You love him so you need to make a move!"

"What if he doesn't like guys...?"

"Oh PLEASE; he wears flipping thigh highs; if that doesn't scream gay I don't know what does!!"

"Are you assuming his sexuality?" Yuu said, raising an eyebrow.

"Err... Yuu-kun, who are you looking at?"

"Oh, they know who they are." 

(...)

"...okay" Shinoa sighed, thowing her hands in the air in defeat before slamming them back down onto the table. "Actually not okay! You need to make a move Yuu and we are going to help you!"

Yuu groaned and smacked his forehead with his hand. This guys were insane!! Mitsuba and Kimizuki both watched on, silently intrigued to see what would happen. "...well... whatever... I mean if you want to... knock yourself out..." he muttered, and Shinoa smiled widely. 

"Right we need to organise a rendezvous point for these two some-when and where. Anyone got any suggestions?"

"Yuu's bedroom? The two of them do seem to get kinda tetchy; maybe they need to... sort it out in other means..." Kimizuki muttered as Yuu's mouth hung agape.

"S-shut up!" he whispered loudly. "Are you people all fricken' mental?!"

"What about a meal?" Mitsuba offered, and the others nodded lightly. 

"Hmm... I could see that working" Shinoa agreed.

"Do I not even get a say?!" Yuu said, incredulous.

"What day though?" Shinoa asked, completely ignoring Yuu's comment. Honestly, the nerve of this girl!

Mitsuba shrugged. "Err... I don't know, but maybe a dinner? We could all go elsewhere to eat and leave Mika and Yuu here."

"Hmm what about..." just then Mika re-entered the room, and Shinoa was stuck in mid-'about'. He raised an eyebrow. She coughed. "What about we all go for a walk; it's a nice evening after all" she suggested spontaneously. The others deadpanned as Mika smiled a little. 

"I like that idea" he said, "Let's go"

And so thanks to Shinoa's quick mouth and (stupid) thinking, they all ended up walking around the ravaged town with Mika. Oh, and it was at least -5 degrees.

"I f**king hate you" Yuu mouthed to Shinoa as he hugged his shivering body to try keep warm, who turned away pretending not to have noticed. Mika noticed that Yuu was cold, and suddenly felt sad for him.

He couldn't let his Yuu-chan be cold; no way.

So he walked over to him and picked him up bridal style. 

Yuu blushed multiple shades of red that caused the vampire to smile, making the raven turn even darker red. "M-Mika?" he asked shakily. 

"You looked cold" Mika said. "So I picked you up so you could cuddle into me and stay warm" he explained nonchalantly. 

"O-oh... okay" was Yuu's only response. Mika gazed down at him and was swept away by the feeling of pure emotion in his heart. He loved the raven so much, he just wanted to hold him like this forever and never let him go. The others smiled to one another and they all headed back. It seemed that actually Shinoa's idea had been a good one after all. 

The pair were the closest they had ever been.
