Chapter 3 - Exposed Feelings

Another week went by and Yuu was struggling more and more to keep his feelings a secret, although it seemed to him that Mika was completely oblivious to it. Every time Yuu would blush he would ask the raven if he was alright and if he needed a doctor, for example. There was never any hint of sarcasm or insincerity in his voice. Yuu was pleased at he was so... unknowing of his feelings for him.

But that didn't mean the others didn't notice. 

Yuu couldn't be sure if they had noticed or if Shinoa had just spread the rumour, but it seemed like they all knew to some extent. Yuu sighed as the bell was rang and he went down for dinner, being careful not to run into Mika. He had started having to try and avoid the blonde; scared that his continuous blushing would be noticed. What he didn't know was that Mika had noticed that he was trying to avoid him, which had made him heartbroken to say the least. 

Yuu arrived at the bottom floor and picked up the food, taking a seat next to Yoichi instead of his usual place next to Mika, causing him to frown at the raven. Yuu kept his head hung low so as not to meet those beautiful... beautiful ruby eyes... and that angelesque golden hair that perfectly framed his flawless face... 

Yuu made his head hang lower trying to hide the red that had covered his cheeks like a rash. He loved that blonde so much... he couldn't do anything properly around him. Yoichi nudged Yuu, in the side. "Hey... Mika stood and left saying that he wanted some fresh air"

"W-what?" Yuu looked up and sure enough the angelic beauty had disappeared. 

"Yeah" Yoichi said, smiling. "Yuu-kun... do you have a-"

"Shut up" he spoke quickly, irritated. He wasn't in the mood to discuss his feelings for the blonde at the moment. he felt like he would never be able to do so without falling into some sort of rant about how perfect he was. Heck, he could even write a book about how perfect he was, though he'd never do that; that'd be effort.

"Aww is Yuu-chan in denial?" came an annoying voice.

"Probably reconsidering his life choices. He is, after all, an idiot." came an equally obnoxious voice. 

The pair walked out of the darkness with their food and sat down, both staring at Yuu. Yuu glared back at them. "I hate both of you. What the hell do you even mean?"

"Yuu-chan's in love with Mika" Shinoa cooed, causing Yuu to go red and slam his hands on the table. 

"Shut up!!" he shouted.

"There's no need to shout idiot" muttered Kimizuki.

"You're the idiot, idiot." the raven retorted.

"No you are."

"Just try me!!"

"Oh yeah?"

The pair were now standing and leaning over the table at one another, glaring. "You two stop now!" came another voice, and Mitsuba sat next to Shinoa. "Or I'll happily kill the first person who punches the other."

The pair sat down annoyed, looking away from each other while Yoichi looked between them, laughing awkwardly. "Anyways... Yuu-kun, do you have a crush on Mika?" he asked again, trying to break the newly formed tension.

Yuu glared at the brunette, muttering "Shut up" with as much venom in his words as he could muster. Yoichi just pouted at him and turned his attention back to his food, copying what the other three had done.

They sat in silence bar the clinking of metal as they ate, Yuu just staring at the food. "Are you gonna eat the food I made or what?" spoke Kimizuki, frustrated. 

Yuu rolled his eyes, but not wanting to get into an argument about it he decided to eat. Again silence fell and they ate until they were done. It was then that Shinoa had her great idea.

"Guys let's have a party!!" she said excitedly as Yoichi helped Kimizuki to clear up the cutlery.

"What? Why?" asked Yuu, suspicious, just as Narumi appeared at the door. Narumi never joined them for dinner, but instead came down after and took the food on the final plate up to his room. For some reason he had become accustomed to not joining them when eating, but he joined them for everything else.

As such his appearance was met with smiles, which he returned. "Did I hear something about a party?"

"Yes!! Wanna come?" Shinoa said smiling. 

"Okay; I've got nothing else to do anyways" he joked

"I'll go" commented Mitsuba

"Sure" half-grunted Kimizuki, and Yoichi smiled and nodded.

Yuu rolled his eyes "Fine... if everyone else is going... but where're you gonna throw it? Your room?"

"No" started Shinoa, a glint in her eyes making him suddenly regret asking.

"We're gonna hold it tomorrow from 8pm in your room!"
