Miles' POV:

It is 1 o'clock in the morning. I am asleep with Leila, in her bedroom. It has been a week since her incident. Her bruises and injuries have been healing pretty well, to where she is almost fully recovered. However, she is still very frightened. Certain noises can make her jump from time to time. She refuses to be alone, which is why I've spent the past couple of days with her, but I have made time to find the person responsible for doing this to her. I wanted to find the three men who did these terrible things to her. They needed to pay for what they have done, and I tend on making them regret their mistake.

I was asleep, when I felt someone touch my arm. I slowly opened my eyes and looked over my shoulder. It was Michael. I rubbed my eyes, so I could see a little better while my eyes adjusted to the lighting.

"What is it?" I asked very quietly.

"We found him." said Michael. "We have found the three men who did this to Leila."

I was absolutely happy to hear this news. I carefully got out of bed, so I wouldn't wake Leila up. I walked to my room, where I changed into some pants and shirt. I put on some shoes, and took out my handgun from one of my drawers. When I was ready, I walked downstairs to the front door, where some of my guards were.

"Michael, stay here with Leila." I said.

Michael nodded his head. I opened the front door and walked outside. I climbed into the SUV with my guards and headed to the address, where the three men are suppose to be. I was so happy that this day had finally come. I wanted them to pay and that day has finally come.

Leila's POV:

I woke up fairly early and looked at my clock on my dresser. It is 6 o'clock in the morning. I turned to the other side of my bed and was surprised that I didn't see Miles. I quickly sat up and started looking around my room. He was nowhere to be found. I got out of bed and put my robe on. I opened my bedroom door and walked down the hall. I didn't see Miles anywhere. I thought that he might be downstairs somewhere, so I went to cheek. He isn't in his office. I start to panic a little bit. I needed to calm down and rest for a little bit. So, I went into the kitchen, to get myself a cup of water.

I took a quick sip and heard a noise coming toward the kitchen. I set down the glass of water and look behind me. It was Devin, carrying one of his doggy toys in his mouth. I smiled down at Devin. He is such a cute dog. I squatted down to Devin's height and patted him on the head.

"Hey Devin, what are you doing?"

Devin laid down on the ground, before he rolled over, showing his belly. I rugged Devin's belly, while he still had his toy in his mouth. Then, I stood back up and poured a scoop of dog food into his bowl, before putting it on the ground. I began making myself breakfast as well. Sure it is early, but I don't feel like going back to sleep. I took my breakfast into the family room, where I turned on the TV and watched a show on Netflix.

A few minutes afterwards, Miles came into the kitchen. I turned around and saw that he was already dressed.

"Where have you been?" I asked.

"Um, no where." lied Miles.

I set my breakfast down on the table in front of me. I stood up and walked over to Miles.

"Why am I not convinced?"

Miles looked up at me. I think he knew that I wasn't happy and that I could tell he was lying to me.

"I found the men who hurt you, Leila. I left early to confront them and make them pay." Miles explained.

"How did you make them pay? You didn't kill them did you?" I asked.

"No, they deserved worse for what they did to you, so the boys and I gift wrapped them for the police to take care of. With all the crimes they've committed, they'll be lucky if they see the sun again."

I was more than relieved to hear that Miles didn't kill them. But, I was also happy to hear that they were going to jail for the rest of their lives. I walked over to Miles and gave him a kiss on the lips.

"Thank you, Miles." I thanked.
