There is water dripping somewhere here, not sure what this here is. My brain fails to register anything other than the bottle in front of me.

My shaking hands grip tightly onto it, fearful of it falling and shattering on the floor.

I take in the scent, my nerves tingling, relishing in the thought of what is to come.

I hurriedly latch onto the bottle, throwing my head back as I gulp half of it down.
Drip
Drip
I can feel it, it is closer but still far out of my reach. I take in another huge chug and another until I'm thrown into a state of euphoria.
Drip
Drip
The world fades away. My senses seem lost. The pain no longer there.
They all left me.
But it doesn't matter right now. Nothing matters right now. All I care about is this numbness - my best friend, who will always be there for me.
Always.
