"Hi, I'm not able to take your call at the moment but I'll get back to you when I can...Remember to leave your message at the beep."
She was never coming back, never going to call again.
No more hearing the sound of her soft sweet voice.
No more waking up seeing her lying beside me.
No more time to spend with each other again.
All that was left was timeless memories that remained locked up deep inside his heart where he refused to access again.
So he sat there in the corner of the room cradling his mobile in his hands calling the same number just to hear her voice, the voice that had become his favourite sound to hear, that was soft, calm and warm with every word she said.
"Hi, I'm not able to take your call at the moment but I'll get back to you when I can...Remember to leave your message at the beep."
The beep sounded and the tears he was trying to hold back began to fall down his cheeks and onto the phone screen, tears that spoke overwhelming grief, sorrow and an unspeakable love.
'You never said I'm leaving, you never said goodbye, you were gone before I knew it and only did God know why...'
