Shinwon's POV:
Time.
Time was running out for all of us.
I gasped deeply as I was transported to a meeting room where I had been summoned to. I opened my eyes to see the familiar eyes of men and women staring at me as I chased after my breath trying to steady it.
I wandered over to my seat at the top of the table setting the leather binder down and was aware how everyone was following each of my movements. I planted myself in my chair, clasping my hands together before looking up making eye contact with the group of people.
There was a large amount of tension and anticipation in the air until one person decided to speak up.
'We must acknowledge that time is running out...'
Everyone mumbled and chattered away in agreement as I sat there flicking over each of their faces showing worries and concerns about what lies ahead.
'Indeed... time is running out...' I simply stated and the chatter died down, leaving all of the focus on me.
'What is the future looking like? Has it progressed for the worse...' another voice questioned abruptly.
I looked up at the person and said with complete seriousness.
'I cannot lie, but the future is not well. Darkness lurks in all corners and day by day things are changing and being manipulated. In other words, people are acting as if they are robots...'
Everyone lets out a gasp and began talking at once again in a panic.
'The real past? How is that?" they turned towards the boy sitting on the opposite end.
I flicked my eyes up looking at him taking in his features.
Lee Woojin looked like a completely different person.
Just from the way he looked, you could blatantly see that the real past was not doing well at all. His face was slack and pale along with dark circles that were visible beneath his eyes and his hair once a smooth brown was now turning a faded greycolour.
It was as if his condition had completely deteriorated over night.
He coughed and wheezed slightly before his meek and weak voice quietly spoke across the room:
"The real past is fading... Events are beginning to be replaced with new ones and people are losing memories. I the guardian of the past am slowly beginning to grow old until I will turn into nothing but dust and shadows..."
I opened the leather binder and looked through it noticing that there were pages blank and things were rewriting itself. I flicked over to the section for the future and saw it was also being written too.
The people sitting amongst the table stared at him blankly until someone pounded their fist onto the table making all the glasses topped with water shake in movement, as if they were representing the fear that everyone was feeling at this moment.
"What the hell do we do now?! We have the correct past fading and soon this alternative one will replace it and then we have the future, which is also changing and people are begging to act like puppets! The Gurdian of the damn present isn't even here either..." He shouted across the table looking across to me and then to Woojin.
There was a slight murmur in agreement before a female voice spoke up rather confidently.
"Guardian Of The Future..." She addressed me as she stood up from her seat looking at me.
"I believe it is time we intervene... He must know everything now for we do not have enough time. He must fulfil the duty that has been passed on to him..."
I sighed deeply. As Gurdian's we can only guide someone through time travel, however we must never specifically tell someone their destiny, their future that is written. Silence entered the room again as eyes looked intensely at me waiting for my answer.
"She is remembering, but that itself is not enough to stop the correct past from fading and the future from being controlled. There isn't enough time to allow her to regain those memories, we must pursue the alternative option, Shinwon..." Woojin spoke out privately into my head.
I looked up at him where he slightly nodded his head at me. I stood up from my seat and let my eyes trail along everyone of the time travel associates who anticipated my answer.
"Very well, we shall pursue the other option in the hopes that he will accept what he was destined to do
That he will stop the corruption of time itself..."
