Day Two:

After fleeing the Prince's chamber yesterday, I found myself being escorted back there the next day. I returned to the cells yesterday, to be greeted by confused faces. I explained what had happened to all of them and told them what had began brewing inside my head.

"Pleasant day, isn't it, Rebecca?". Prince George asked as I entered the room.

"There is nothing pleasant about waking up to find yourself in captivity". I replied in my pitiful tone. If I play my cards right, this nut job might be our ticket out of here.

Prince George crossed the room in graceful strides. "I wish there was something I could do, but my father won't allow it. He believes that we make allies with other inhabitants, rather than enemies. I don't see the point when I can wipe them off with just a thought"

After a pause, he continued, "Today I want to help you tap into your powers. You just might help your friends out of the clutches of that headless delinquent"

As I tried to stifle a grin, I spoke. "I don't care about those so called 'friends'. I just want to get out of here alive"

His brows arched in surprise, but his shock was expected.
"Is that so?"

"Yes. They infuriate me". I replied.

"Well then, let's get started". Prince George said as he clapped his hands and the torches in the room went dark.

"What are we doing?" I asked, getting paranoid.

"We're getting you to accept the darkness within you". The Prince replied to me in an ominous voice and I rolled my eyes at his reply.

"The last thing I want from you is an attitude". He spoke again from the darkness.

Here we go again.

The scene I returned to meet was definitely a surprise to me. The girls were out of their cells and two guards were sprawled out in the floor. And was that blood?

"What happened here?". I asked with wide eyes.

"Let's just say we've become bolder. We tricked the guards into opening my cell and Alexa's, then we attacked". Vanessa stated proudly.

"I'm impressed". I said truthfully.

"What progress have you made so far on your end?" Kris asked.

"As far as I know, the prince thinks I hate you girls". I glanced at their skinny figures. "And watch this"

I tried my best to wield the power in me. Soon enough, I felt the slow, steady hum of magic. Focusing all my power, I lifted Rachael into the air. She squealed as she noticed her change in altitude.
I placed her down carefully and collapsed to my knees.

"Wow". Vanessa gushed as she rushed to my side.

"It makes me weak, but the prince says I'll get used to it"

"But we no longer have time. We have just one day left". Kristina spoke now, hopelessness laced in her tone.

I watched Tiny from the corner of my eye. I noticed, as I tried to stand on wobbly legs, how he looked at me. We'll have to settle that later. If there is a later. The thought almost brought me to tears.

"No". I spoke with new found determination. "There is still hope. Tomorrow, I shall return to the prince, it's safe to assume he's on my side and has no clue of our alliance with each other. We'll need a brain racking plan and skill to escape the clutches of the horseman. We're getting out of here alive or die trying"

The girls all nodded slowly once I'd finished my speech.
"What about these bodies? More guards would be bringing food". Kristina said.

A young guard entered the room. I was caught off guard, but the girls were not. They seemed to be very acquainted with him.

"What?". Rachael asked. "Did you think we were sitting on our arses all those years?"

"Richard, how can we get rid of the bodies?" Alexa asked.

"Leave that to me. These passages are not always busy, I can make it out of the castle with a little help from Tony". Richard replied.

Judith prodded their bodies with her foot. "Are they dead?" She asked with horror.

"No. They're just unconscious". Vanessa replied her.

Everyone fell silent as Richard and Tony got to work. Tony heaved a guard up with little effort, thanks to his buff physical state, Richard however, had some trouble.

"Why can't we just make a run for it now?". Rachael asked.

"We can't. More guards will soon bring dinner and we'll be caught before we step outside the castle". I said. "We'll just have to wait a little more"
