She rolled over onto her back in her sleep and something japed her in her back.  She woke with a start, sitting up and looking behind her to find out she rolled on top of on of her candles.  She rubbed her forehead, it ached as if some one had rung a bell in her ears all night.

She slowly stood up feeling a little woozy.  “Oh.  I should have slept on the bed.  She looked around the room not moving that fast so not to make her headache worse.  The room had not chanced.  She recalled destintly the weirdest dream of blue mist and a glowing white woman.  She gathered up her stuff and slowly made her way down the stairs.  She didn’t notice until she made it to the last step that all the cob webs and spider webs had vanished.  She looked closely and nothing.  She walked backwards to the door  and looked out the window to the left of the door to see Beck and James standing at the gate at the bottom of the hill.

She opened the door and walked down the hill to meet them.  They looked impressed.  “Well I guess you are brave.”  James said.

“Not that impressive.”  Becky said looking up at the house scared.

“We couldn’t even reach the front steps Beck she made it all the way to the up stairs and in the room with the legionary blue glow.”  He said looking at Becky like she had lost it.

“Yeah your try outs are next week Wednesday.  I’m not guaranteeing you a spot on the squad just a try out with our couch.”  Becky said.  “

“Fair enough.”  Jenny said then stepped around them out of the gate.

“Wait.” James said following her out of the gate.  “What was the blue glow?”

Jenny looked at him confused.  “Uh I not sure my mind is a little jumbled right now.”  she said rubbing her head again trying to get the ringing under control.

“Oh okay.  Talk with you Monday then.”  James said.

Jenny nodded then started to walk home, her head was getting worse by the minute she wasn’t really watching where she was going just that it was the way home, she hoped.  After a few minutes walking she closed her eyes for a second.  Then she was on the ground, she looked around to see an other person on the ground as well.  She must of bumped into him.  Jenny stood up slowly,  “I’m sorry sir.”

“Yeah you bet your sorry.  Why can’t you watch where you walk.”  He had a heavy English accent.  He stood up as well dusting himself off.  “I need to be some where like yesterday so get out of my way.”

“Hey no need to be rude.”  she said trying to counsel that her head felt like it was going to explode.

“I don’t care what you think.”  He said then took a step closer to her stairing her in the eyes.  “I have no time for this.  You will forget our encounter.”

Jenny stepped back away from him.  “To hell I will forget this.”  She said stepping around him to start walking to her house.

His face was frozen in shock.  “Wait.”  he turned and grabbed her upper arm.  “What is your name?”

“Let go of me.”  she tried to pull her arm away from him, but the quick moves made her dizzy again.

“Ma’am please your name at least.”  He asked tightening his grip on her arm.

“Let go of me.”  she balled her other hand into a fist, and punched him in the jaw he flew back five feet.  Jenny stood there shocked for a second.  The guy did not looked shocked as he looked up at her.  Jenny wasn’t going to stay around for him to return a blow.  She turned and started to run.

Running did not help her headache.  What really did not help was that for each step she was taking it was as if she took three.  The wind was rushing around her.  She tried to stop and she flew forward losing her balance.  She stood up looking around it was on her street, but how did she get there so fast.  She picked up her sleeping bag’s bag that fallen off her shoulders in the stumble.  She looked around for her house.  Her vision blurred,  then it was as if she looked through binoculars she could see the growing rings of the door, three doors away.  She blinked and rubbed her eyes.  Then tried just to see the numbers on the houses.

    She walked up to her house took out her key that was on a chain around her neck.  She placed her hand on the handle and unlocked the door and turned the handle.  The handle ripped off in her hand.  She stared at it in her hand.  Then she saw every ripple of the bent metal.  She shook her head, immediately she knew that was the wrong move the whole place spun.  She quickly walked into her house.  Straight up to her room and to the computer.  And typed in ‘Shelda The Mystic’  She clicked the first link that came up.  She looked at the title of the article of an old news paper article.  Jenny saw just lights of different colors.  She blinked then tried not to focus on the small parts but on the words she read;

Warning

Shelda the Mystic accused of being a witch. Has fled her trial and seen again in the town of Salem.  She is said to have fled to her home town of Bura Nevada.  She is said to have a kind face, but don’t be a foul she has been seen stabbing a man in the heart.  If found kill first ask questions later.

The date on the article is 1690.  Jenny saved the site then stood up and turned her father was standing in her door way.

“So how was the hunted house?”  he asked yawning.

“Fine I fell asleep.”  she didn’t try and focus on him afraid she would see his pores on his face.  “But I do have to take a shower.  If you don’t mind.”

“No go a head I have to go to work.  You stay safe okay.”  He said stepping back from the door way.  “I love you.”

“Yeah you too.”  she said as she grabbed her toiletry bag and rode and walked to the shower.  In the bathroom she placed her hands on the counter.  She took a deep breath in then looked up in the mirror.  Her hair looked like she slept on a dirty floor all night.  She exhaled, then turned around and looked at a picture her father put up last night.  She focused her gaze to the pixels.  Her vision burred then she saw dots of every color.  She jumped back blinking.  “Holy crap.”  she whispered.

She decided just to encore what was happening, just take a shower.  It was probly her mind playing tricks on her anyway.  As she took of her shirt she noticed something on her hip right above her waist line.  She looked at through the mirror.  It was a burn mark in the shape of C over a four point star, lines arched over two points of the star the top right side and the bottom left.  Jenny screamed at the site of it.  There was proof that it wasn’t a dream.
