Allison's POV

During the evening I headed to Johnson's house. I was glad he asked me to come over since I was bored and done with all my homework, I also was in the mood to talk with him about his love life so I thought the whole night would be perfect until I knocked on his frontdoor. It wasn't Johnson or one of his parents who opened it but Sam. (wdym no parent? Sam is Johnson's daddy)

"Sam!" I said surprisingly. "I wasn't expecting you here, in Johnson's house." I walked in and went straight up to the livingroom where I found Johnson sitting on the couch. "Hold up, are you two friends now?"

"No!" Johnson said with a disgusting look on his face.

"It's progress." Sam answered.

"Well, I'm not complaining about anything but I sure am confused. What's happening here?"

Johnson and Sam exchanged looks, neither of them looking pleased. It was as if they communicated with their eyes and discussed who should talk first while I was inbetween of them. It took them a while and I started to get a strange feeling about it, it felt like an intervention. I was about to speak up until I heard footsteps coming out of the kitchen. There was a fourth person in the room now and I was almost certain of who it was. I didn't want it to be that person but when I turned around it was exactly that person.
Matt stood infront of me with his hands in the pockets of his jeans staring awkwardly at the ground, probably scared to greet me.

"Seriously?" I said. "What is he doing here?"

"Matt thinks it's time for you two to talk." Johnson answered.

"Oh, he thinks that so I must just agree with it?" I snapped.

"Allison—" Matt tried to say.

"No!" I interrupted him. "You have no permission to talk to me after what you did! I don't need your whack excuses, I want you to leave me alone!"

"He's trying to—" it was Johnson I interrupted this time.

"Trying to talk what he did right? Sorry, I ain't got time for that bullshit. I can't believe you are on his side," I angrily turned to Sam. "both of you!"

"We're not." They said at the same time.

I threw my hands up. "Whatever, I'm gone."

I was in the hallway with my hand already reaching for the door when Sam stopped me. I turned around and saw him looking like he had no idea what to say but I did.

"I really wasn't expecting this from you, Sam." I told him. "Johnson I may understand how he got in this situation but you?"

"I didn't plan on getting involved." He defended. "But I understand why you're angry and I'm sorry if I let you down. I would never disappoint you on purpose." He grabbed both of hands the way he always does when he's being serious. "Are you okay?"

"Overwhelmed."

"You don't have to talk to him. You can let him tell his story and leave when he's done or when you decide you've heard enough." He paused. "I can stay with you if you want, or Johnson or both. It's up to you. Matt said he only wants you to know certain things and you did want solve things between the two of you, right?" I nodded. "This could be your chance because I personally think that Matt won't try again anytime soon."

If it wasn't for Sam I probably wouldn't even consider talking to Matt. Sam did make me feel a lot calmer than before so my mind was a lot cleaner now and I could think about everything. Seeing Matt standing infront of me was already weird enough, imagine how uncomfortable I'd be if we'd talk. I knew for a long time that this conversation had to happen but I wasn't ready to take that step yet and in that moment the only thing between me and that conversation is a door. The least thing I could do was hear him out and let him apologize, I don't have to forgive him but I should give him the chance.
