Allison's POV

It has been a week since I made up with Nicole and we were back better than ever. We had some catching up to do so we spent a lot of time together which made Johnson very happy. That Friday evening the three of hs were all together at my house, chilling in my room like we used to before and I just told Nicole about the thing Sam and I had and that we slept together.

"No way!" She responded. "I heard a rumor about it but I didn't know if I should believe or not."

"Well, it happened. In my bed!" Johnson said loudly.

"Poor thing." Nicole laughed and then turned to me. "Anyways, about Sam. I like him, I think he's a good guy for you."

"So does he." I answered. "But we agreed on just staying friends."

"Lame. Why?"

"Because we both aren't ready to commit to a serious relationship yet." I explained.

"So you two can go on dates with other people?"

"Yes. We're single." Nicole smirked and turned to Johnson who exchanged to same look back to her. "What? What is it?"

"Well," Johnson started as he got up. "there's this person who'd love to go out with you sometime."

I flinched. I honestly couldn't think of anyone who I knew who could possibly want to go on a date with me. I haven't met any new people lately so it couldn't be anyone new, and they also know Johnson apparently.

"Who is it?"

"They asked me to give you their number." Johnson handed me over a paper with a number written on it. I didn't recognize it at all so I turned back to Johnson looking confused. "If you want to know who it is all you have to do is call."

"Can't you just tell me—"

"Don't ruin the surprise!" Nicole interrupted. "Come on, call!"

I sighed and typed the number in my phone. It wasn't a number I had saved so I got a bit anxious about who was about to pick up the phone. Nicole and Johnson looked very excited and on the edge of dying when the phone rang. It only made me more nervous. What if it was someone who I'm not interested in at all? What was I supposed to say then? I had no time to figure that out because at the fourth ring my phone call got answered.

"Kelsey speaking."

Oh my God. It was Kelsey Manson, also known as cheerleader and Charlie Manson's twin sister. I knew Kelsey for a while during my sophomore year when I was closer friends with Charlie. I guess we were friends back then but as you know, a lot of friendships of mine disappeared in the start of my Junior year.

"Hey Kelsey!" I said awkwardly.

"Oh my— Hi Allison! How are you?" She asked excitedly.

"I'm fine, you?"

"I'm great!"

"Good!" Right, I almost forgot why I called. "So, Johnson gave me your number just a moment ago and told me to give you a call."

"He did? Thank God, I thought he'd forget." I chuckled out of awkwardness. I panicked because I couldn't find a right answer to respond with. "So are you interested?" She asked after a couple seconds.

"Sorry?"

"I mean, he did tell you why you should call me, right?"

"Yes, he did."

This time Kelsey chuckled. "Allison, I haven't spoken to you in a while but you're still as awkward as you were back in sophomore year. In a cute way." I started smiling but I tried to hold it back. Nicole and Johnson started whispering in the background and that was the moment I remembered they were still there. "I bet you're smiling to yourself right now." Kelsey added.
