My soft gentle hands brushed his cool burnt face, i felt threatened and protected at the same time. Our bodies for the first time came in full contact of each other, i could hear his heart thudding, pounding into mine, dangerously fast. The air between us grew thin and misty, the silence was torture i couldn't help but speak. "Thank you." I whispered into his tempered ear.
"Don't thank me, you shouldn't be grateful, i could of hurt you." He spoke in a hard coarse voice.
"You didn't though, in fact you saved my life, how else do i return this generous gesture?"
In an even more imperative tone he spoke, "Don't." and snatched the sparkling necklace which his mother Eva had given to me. It was precious, i don't even know how i accepted such a gift, it's unlike me. On the silver chain was an eccentric heart, dented around it's outside was memorizing blue encrusted jewels in similarity to the dress Eva implied i wore. I refused to ask why he stole the necklace from my now bear neck, i were still stricken, astounded by the outburst which had occurred.
In peace walking back to the Hasting's house, he shattered the silence and complimented me. "That color really...suits you." I couldn't help but giggle more in a girly way than a shy way.
"You don't have to say anything."
"But i do, it's been aching me." He said as he turned to me, my face rejuvinated as we locked looks, i felt under his control whilst we stood on door step.
"Savannah! You had us all worried sick, all sorts of things could have happened." Eva exclaimed in happiness.
"Nothing to worry, i wasn't too far." I replied in all honesty.
"Where do you go, aren't the ground unfamiliar?" She asked.
Isaac's eyebrows tensed upwards and aggressively starred into her eyes, " at the Hastwood tree mother." and the look on Eva's face dropped and turned concerned, one which i haven't seen yet and don't wish to see again.
"Best you stay in for a while, and meet the family once again, we're having an extravagant dinner tonight if you'd like to attend, and Savannah you need to be careful outside." Eva said i her most soothing tone.
"yes she does", Isaac replied to his mom, "she met someone today, i couldn't quite figure him out but he wanted this, you shouldn't of given it to her." He returned the necklace back into his moms palm.
"But i should've, it belongs to her."
"To me?" Puzzled, i just thought Eva had mixed up her words but she wouldn't answer my question.
Eva instructed, "Upstairs now, we'll talk about this later."
In a rapid pace i hopped up the stair missing a few on the way up in hope i could be alone again, back into the room where i once had been, and thrust myself onto the bed. My body melted into the warm bed sheets as i haven't rested on a bed for so long, not even a full deserved sleep, it felt good but too good. All of a sudden my responsibilities caught up on me; i had to get ready. With one foot i tuck it under the other and fling my shoe off and do so with the other foot, then with my socks. Right in front of me was an oak wardrobe and wondered if these clothes were for me so i walk over and twist the door open. To my surprise it was full to the brief of all types of clothing, white laced dresses, tight corsets, delicately embroidered gloves. Everything a girl could dream of.
Carefully, i unzip the back of my dress refraining it from breakage. At the corner of my i see small drawers and open ajar to see new undergarments. I slip on the most comfy looking and pull over my head a rich, enchanting emerald dress made purely out of silk. The smoothness slips over my head and clings gently onto my fair skins. It reaches mid way between my knee and ankles and i accompany the dress with simple silver heels.
Three knocks on the door provoke my gaze in the mirror fixed on the wardrobes front. Isaac Invites himself in. "I-i-i uh was told to tell you to um come down stairs for dinner." He covered his hands over his face like and little boy which seemed to intrigue me. Finally, i slipped on a pair of pearl gloves, Isaac offered his arm out for me, wrapped my arm around his, and walked content towards to dining room.
