I loved the necklace that Cani gave me, it was simple but beautiful, I had figured out that each time I got closer to water, you could see the red diamond in it much clearer and if I didn't go anywhere near water it looked liked a normal pearl, which is weird, but it's probably one of those things you just couldn't make sense of. "Cani, where did you get this," I wondered, showing Cani the necklace on my neck.

"Umm at the beach, some lady was selling done necklaces and I asked her if there were any pearl necklaces, she only had the one you have at the moment and when I bought it the little stall was gone, it confused me," replied Cani. I nodded, curious, who would've just sold one thing then dissapear? There was one way to find out, go to the beach.

Me and Lottie slipped into our swimsuits and wrapped a towel around our waist, while I was gonna walk barefooted towards the beach, Lottie had decided to wear some sandals. We swung down the stairs into the living room where Cani was dusting the place "We're just going to the beach, we'll be back soon," I said to Cani.

"That's fine by me, as long as you come back before dark, I know you're already teenagers but anything could happen. We nodded and then raced off out of the back door, jumped over the gate and walked along the pavement that would eventually lead us to the sea. On the way there Lottie asked if we could stop for ice cream when we got there, I laughed and nodded my head, "You can, I'm not really in the mood for ice cream right now," I told Lottie.

"Not in the mood for ice cream?! I don't even know what that means, how can you not want ice cream, the suns boiling us!" Lottie replied. Lottie was right though, the sun was boiling us, I felt like I was slowly being roasted in a oven. Lottie and I dodged for spaces that were shady. When we got to the beach, the sea was quite far out. I scanned the horizon to try find a stall with someone begind it, but there was nobody. I sighed heavily as I keyed down on the sand. "Sooo... Can I get some ice cream now?" Asked Lottie, who was obviously bored. I nodded my head, this was boring. "Lottie! I shouted, I'm just going for a walk to the rocks!" I told her

"Sure, whatever, I'll catch up to you when I finish this ice cream," she said. I wiped the sand off myself and started to walk slowly to the rocks. Usually, the rocks were buried under water, but not today, so this was a perfect time to go there, especially since Cani showed Lottie and I the secret cave that we go to, above the cave water dripped slowly onto the sand below, it was a place where I usually shared my sorrows and mourned for my mum. Once I think I have even spotted someone or something in there but it dove into the caves entrance water, before u could see who it was.

I was getting closer to the rocks when I heard a splash, which sounded like someone or something was in the cave, could it be that same person I saw before? Well if it was I wasn't going to miss it again. I crept slowly towards the entrance of the cave, I heard some singing as the wind wipped my hair, it was beautiful singing and I leaned in closer. I kept to the sides of the cave, did I mention that the cave had a mini puddle which can actually fit a person? Well there was but this time there actually was someone in it. I froze after taking a step and sand rose into the air towards my face, I couldn't hold it in any longer so I sneezed. The woman in the puddle looked up, her eyes glistened with her fierce expression "Who's there?" She asked, eyeing the cave, she spotted me "I can see you sweety, now don't come any closer, at that moment, my necklace dropped and lay there in the sand, the woman eyed the necklace in curiousity and then backed away shocked at what she saw, I was only a few meters away from the woman so she bent over and picked the necklace up "Is this yours?" She asked.

"Umm yes," I croaked.

"Do you know what it is?" Said the woman, still clutching my necklace in her hands. I shook my head

"You must be Emily then, nice to meet you," the lady smiled, giving me back my necklace "I'm Emma- Emma conchshell, yep that's right... Little sis,"she said, laughing. I have a sister? Gee no one told me that, but how?! "Well, I have to go now, bye Emily!" She said. I saw her flick her tail and dive out the entrance- wait, what?! Tail?! I thought I was daydreaming and wanted to call for Emma but as soon as I was going to do that, Lottie dragged her steps in.

What did I just see??
