Someone,Something...
I flashed my brown eyes open, ready for the water that surrounded me to drown myself, but there wasn't any water, nor sharks or anything that lurked there last night. In fact, I was in a little rock cave so it appeared and the tide lapped at my feet slowly. I sat up and pulled myself further into the cave which was only about two meters and checked my feet which were now blue. I covered myself with the soft sand that I was on and felt the warmth surround me as it had been soaking up the suns heat.
I stepped into the shallow parts outside the cave to check where I was. All I could see above and around me was and island made of caves, nooks and crannies and rocks that looked suitable for sitting on. Around the island was nothing but- Salt.Water.
As time passed, the sun rised high in the sky, it's rays pointing down onto me, making me feel hot and bothered. Carefully, I ventured out into the deeper waters which reached up to my thighs. I ducked my head under the water, nourishing the coolness of it. I then slid onto a rock. As I got myself comfortable on the rock I was sitting on, I noticed a comb, encrusted with emeralds and diamonds, it shined in the sun, casting light around it. I carefully ran my fingers on the edge of it, wondering why it would be somewhere here then I just realized. I was totally lost. I started to calm myself down as I was used to this happening. Okay, I thought to myself, if I wanted to survive on this island then I need food. I got up and off the rock, gently clutching the mirror with me and headed back to where I woke up.
While wading through the water, I started hearing faint whispers;
"Why did you bring that...thing here?!"
"She's one of us"
"The necklace, we must-" but the voices died down instantly as soon as Emily stepped into the cave. Emily sighed,
"Well, atleast I'm not dead," she said to herself.
"Good thing you aren't," A sweet voice came from behind a rock. A flicker then a splash followed by a human head.
"Come on! Not another dream?" Cried Emily. The person rolled her eyes, "Would you like me to pinch you then?"
Emily looked at the person fingers which were on the sand and were way to sharp in a creepy way "uhhh...no thanks.."
The person looked around, then quietly said, "Come, we must not be here and we need to hide quickly,"she said, her voice as cold as ice. Emily hesitated but was suddenly pulled into the water with an arm and then suddenly, all she could see were bubbles.
