I stared into my soup, not wanting to eat it. I had lost my appetite ages ago, since I found out I actually have a living family member which was not fully human, I was still shocked, I mean who wouldnt be? I pushed my soup away from me and stood up, heading towards the couch which I threw myself onto and started tensing up, What made my life so complicated? A voice in my head answered my question-"Everything"
I switched on the t.v. and started flicking through the channels and settled with the news. Weird eh? I listened to the news reporter who was standing at the local beach that Lottie and I usually go to, the beach where I had met my sister. "Today is the national skinny dipping day!"The news reporter announced, then she laughed a bit and looked at the camera man with a face that said-am i seriously meant to be saying this? and then she faced the camera again.
Then I saw a face in the background behind the lady, I leaned in closer towards the t.v. and then mentally gasped, it was Emma who was filing her nails with a sharp rock with a smirk on her face. Wait.... Why hasn't anyone spotted her yet? Oh god....
I switched the t.v off and ran upstairs towards Cani's room where she was probably doing some cleaning-typical Cani. I knocked on Cani's door gently and waited for her to say come in "Umm Cani, could I quickly pop down to the beach?"
"Sure, your an actual teenager now so, don't need to ask me that question ever again," she replied smiling. I nodded and then closed the door, skipping back downstairs. As I reached for the door handle, Lottie quickly jumped in my way. "Where are you going?"she asked
"To the beach, why do you care" I replied with a slight annoyance in my voice.
"Oh nothing, just that you promised we would hang out today," She said smirking. I sighed, "No Lottie, I want to hang out but... Well, just not now. Lottie's smirk dropped and turned into a frown and then she walked away with a face that showed no emotion. I quickly grabbed for the handle of the door invade she changed her mind. Ok, let's see, it's 4:00, so that means it would take me 20minutes to get there... Unless I run which would take 10minutes. I wanted to go the quickest way to the beach as possibly so I started sprinting. My hair whipped my face as I ran in the cold wind, carrying my legs as fast as I could.
Finally, the beach. I sighed as I stepped onto the sift sand and let it run through my toes. I walked towards The skinny dippers and felt embarrassed, So I covered my eyes and focused once cove, as I neared it, I noticed that Emma wasn't at the front Anymore, so I looked around incase anyone was looking and slipped into the cave. I waded through the shallow water to find that she was not there either. I frowned. Where would she be? Then my mind clicked and a smile spread on my face, and started running towards the rocks at the cliff. Thank god they hasn't seen her or then it could have been of to the lab and scientists for her.
"Ouch!" I yelped, as I stood on a sharp rock. I carefully stepped on the boulders until I saw a figure quite close. I leaned over the top of a rock and saw Emma, But..... I saw something else too. In a scared position, a boy about 6 years old was standing next to my sister in the shallow parts of the water. My sister circled around him splashing water at him with her tail, then with one quick action, she but the poor boy and blood trickled down his arm, I scrunched my nose up yelled "Emma!? What the Fudge?! Are. You.Doing?!"
Emma looked at me and then the boy but as she was about to swim away, I grabbed her arm and slapped her. Hard. She was about to claw me but I went to the boy. Luckily, the bite was only a small mark but it was obvious that the boy was almost frightened to death. What was up with my sister? I felt in my pocket for bandage and found one, I icily pulled it out and gently placed it onto the boys arm then I smiled at him and told him he should get back to his parents which I assumed were 2 adults in the distance calling someone's name. He nodded and started to run. I turned back to my sister but too late. She had already lunged at me and pinned me down onto a Jagged rock, then threw me into the sea, the last thing I saw was A smirk and then I blacked out- I seemed to do that a lot on my life.
