I laugh along with my new group of friends. I smile trying to forget everything for now.
"So, anybody up for a movie night this weekend?" One of them said. I'm not really paying attention now as I look at the ground. I heard mutters of agreement between the group.
"I don't know guys..." I trailed off looking at them, "I have this um...family dinner I have to go to" I nervously said, pulling at my long sleeve. I just said the first thing that came to mind wanting to get out of here. I feel like I don't belong here. The few times I have hung out with them, I just end up not talking to anyone. Everyone piped in.
"Come on you have to come"
"I don't care"
"Please"
"Whatever"
"Have fun"
"Wait what?"
I sent them all a small smile. "Maybe next time" I waved before walking off. I don't feel welcomed like always. I'm just an outcast for now and forever.
