I had thought V-day would be the release until I had planned the book out more, but I ended up publishing it early. But anyways...

"You're working on Valentine's Day?"
"You're the eighth call today, Matty."
"No. Just...no."
"Hey, look at that! You're becoming an American already. And here I thought you were gonna go all British on me."
"But seven calls? It's not even noon!"
"Tell me about it! I have 37 calls to make later. Nine to some girls who thought they were with a movie star; four to some people in politics I'd rather not mention; six to some foreigners staying at hotels; three to boy band members, from the same band-"
"Kate..."
"A guy who was cheated on by his soon-to-be ex-fiancé; Triplets, not that I'm surprised because there's always that one person-"
"Katelyn..."
"And, I'm sorry but the dumbest by far is the five who fell for these cheap ploys like 'The Break-Up Service' and 'IKEA's Customer Support' but don't even get me started on 'Hate Line'!"
"KATELYN!!!"
"...Yow! (Mutters) Why did I have the volume turned up all the way?"
"*sigh* I mean I know this is a commercialized holiday, but..."
"Excuse me? V-Day is the BEST holiday ever CREATED!!!"
"...Huh?"
"Yeah. I was just complaining because people want their relationships to end today of all days!"
"You're very...interesting, Kate. If I ever met you, then I may just have to take you on a date."
Kate's face pinked(?) as Matt said that. Not that it mattered. I mean, what were the chances that they would meet for real?
"U-um... Why did you call anyways? Unless you came to listen to me rant, in which case, you may want to grab a seat-"
"No. Actually, I'm at work. But it can wait until tomorrow."
"Good. I cannot take anymore calls at the moment!"
"Happy St.Valentine's Day."
"Happy V-Day!"
