~A Walk in The Park~

Sonic's P.O.V.

After we all went to bed I woke up in the middle of the night. Well, it wasn't the middle of the night. It was only eleven thirty. I went downstairs. I found a light on. It was a lamp in the living room. Amy was sitting on the couch. She had something in her hand. I came closer and saw it was a cupcake. "Oh, you just missed it. This thing was lit up" she said. I guess she knew I was there. I approached her and sat down. She licked the cupcake. That's when it hit me. "It's hard to be forgotten on your birthday huh?" "I'm fine. I shouldn't be not okay, but there's a part of me that's sad. I shouldn't be though" she licked the cupcake again. "I don't even like strawberry..." She whined a little. I took the cupcake from her and put it down on the table. "Enough of that. What do you want?" "Nothing. I'm okay if people don't celebrate my birthday I'm not a kid anymore" "What do you want for your birthday?" I asked again. She looked over at me. "A little appreciation would be nice... I feel like everyone should get a 'Happy birthday' on their, well, birthday" she said. I put my arm around her. I pulled her close and put her head on me. "I want this to never end. I want you to be here for me forever" "Amy" "I know. People leave and go... I'm just wishing" I heard her sniff. "Happy birthday" I felt my shirt get wet from her face. She was crying. I hugged her and she hugged me back. We both fell asleep. Dejã vü. The next day went by fast and it was Valentine's day already! I woke up to the house being decorated with paper hearts and pink, white, and red streamers. "I had to decorate the house since Amy doesn't exactly like the holiday anymore" Daisy explained to me when I came down the stairs. I heard humming. I turned around and saw Amy ride down the rail of the stairs. "Hello household!" She landed on the bottom of the stairs. "Hey Amy" I said to her. She had a white tank top on, some light pink sweat pants, and some sneakers. Basically jogging attire. "You wanna come Sonic?" "Where?" "With me and Shadow to the park, to walk around" she said. "I never agreed to this!!" I heard Shadow yell from another room. "I thought you'd wanna come, we're just going because were single.." She walked up to the door. "Sure, why not" "great! I just have to get Shadow" she jumped with excitement. She went off. "Come one Shadow" "I never agreed to this" "Well would you rather be here with all the mushy couples?" "Yes" I heard them argue in the other room. I could tell she was getting a bit mad. "Ow! Hey! Let go!" Amy walked out dragging Shadow along by the ear. "Got him?" I laughed. She let go of him once we were outside. "Jeez..." I laughed. "Shut it" he scolded me. He rubbed his ear. "Why'd you have to do and do that for!?" He whined to Amy. "Would you have me rather pull you by the tail?" "No..." he answered a bit annoyed. She nodded, "didn't think so" she walked off. We followed her. We were walking in the park when she just stopped. "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea..." she said while looking around. There were couples at the park. "Yeah, we could have stayed at the house and seen less mushy couple than this" Shadow complained. "Oh be quiet Shadow. You need some sunlight anyways" she scoffed. She saw something. "Ooh, a squirrel.." She crept towards it. It ended up running up the tree. "Why do they run away?" "They are are scared of and/or hate people" "oh, so your a squirrel Shadow" Amy giggled. "Ha. Ha." He laughed sarcasticly. Amy frowned and went to the tree. She climbed it and hung upside down from a limb. We walked up to her. "That's dangerous" Shadow told her. "Your dangerous" "thank you for noticing" he smirked. She stuck her tongue out at him. He got up on the limb. She pulled herself up. I couldn't help myself. "Amy and Shadow sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G" I laughed. "You sound like a preschooler" Shadow mocked. "Ooh, but so tempting..." Amy sat closer to Shadow on the branch. "Hey woah" he climbed to the next limb. He disappeared in the leaves. "Hey wait come back! I was kidding!" She looked at me and winked. I laughed. I climbed up the tree after her. I heard Shadow grunt and fall in front of us. He must have slipped and is now hanging upside down. His legs are on a limb above the the we are on. Amy laughed. "Hey.." he said awkwardly. She burst out laughing even more. "You broke Amy" I told him.
