Today Peeta and I have to go to the Capitol. I don't want to go because it brings up bad memories. Plus I have to tell all Panem my business.
I wake up to cool air coming through the windows that are on a crack. Peeta can't sleep without the windows open and it doesn't bother me. It's spring now. My favorite season. The Primrose's are almost all blossomed. They are all so colorful and beautiful. Some are pink, blue, yellow, and red. I see Prim in them. Prim had a gentle personality. I remember her fair skin, blue eyes and her beautiful blonde hair. Just like my mother. I miss her so much. While I'm thinking about her, Peeta turns over and sees my face wet from tears.
"Katniss what's wrong?" Peeta asks worriedly.
"Just thinking about her" I say and my voice cracks.
"She will always be with you. Her and Rue and your father are in a good place together" Peeta assures me and holds my hand.
I nod we start to get dressed and pack some clothes. It will take 2 days to get there and 2 coming back. The train comes and Effie comes off looking her normal self. She has cotton candy hair and a dress to match. Her skin is pale and here eyelids have cotton candy colored eye shadow. Her dress is longer than it usually always was. Haymitch told me they tortured her by putting deep gashes in her legs and starving her.
"Hello you two!! We need to board the train now so we can stay on schedule!" Effie yells over joyed.
We hop on and pick a room I stay in. The train is just like the one we took to the Quarter Quell. We haven't ate breakfast but it was almost time for lunch anyway. We sit down to my favorite meal. Lamb stew and dried plums. It is so good. We talk about Peeta's new bakery being busy and my Mother's new hospital doing good. Once lunch is finished we go sit in the back of the train. This is just like the moment when Peeta told me his favorite color and I told him mine. We sit down and watch district 12 disappear.
"This is where we told each other's favorite color. Real or not real?" Peeta asks. Peeta remembers things but sometimes they are cloudy and needs to confirm if they happened or not.
"Real." I answer as a smile creeps on my face.
Peeta puts his arm around my waist and kisses my forehead. I lay my head in his chest and we fall asleep together.
