Katniss and Peeta Happy Ever After

The Meadow

It's been a week since my birthday. It also been a week since I put the gel on my scars. My skin is finally scarless. I moisturize my face and wash it twice a day with these products and scrubs my prep team gave me. My skin is shiny and soft. The make up my prep team gave me came with a book with all kinds off different make up styles. I press what make up look I want and it appears on my face. Capitol ways are so lazy but if I did my own make up it would be a disaster. Today Peeta has off so we are going to the meadow to have a picnic. I put on a bathing suit Cinna designed for me. It's black with gold trimming around it. I put a white sundress over it and flip flops. I walk down stairs to see Peeta putting our lunch and some snacks in a picnic basket.
"Are you ready my lovely girlfriend?" Peeta asks me. He always says sweet things that makes me smile. I nod and we set off to the meadow. We pass a few people on the way and say hi to my mother. When we arrive to the meadow I dip my foot in the lake. The water is warm from the summer heat. I take off my sundress and flip flops and sit on a rock and let my legs hang in the water. The next thing I know I am pushed in the water by Peeta. I decide to trick him into thinking I drowned so I stay on the bottom of the lake as long as I can. I can hear Peeta yelling my name in panic. I hear him jump in then I feel his strong arms wrap a round me and bring me to the surface. I catch my breath and laugh.
"I thought you were dead Katniss!!!!" Peeta yells with a worried expression. "You will pay Katniss" Peeta says with a smirk.
I wrap my legs around him and pull him underwater. We kiss underwater then swim back up for air. Peeta picks me up and throws me across the lake. "Peeta!!!" I scream as I hit the water. "You will pay!!" I shout and swim under water to grab his foot. Peeta laughs and holds me around my waist. I start to kiss him passionately and run my fingers through his hair. Peeta pulls back and says "Why don't we get something to eat?" Peeta asks nervously. Peeta never pulls back from a kiss and why is he nervous? I agree and we sit on a blanket and eat sandwiches and fruit. Peeta picks me up and runs up the hill.
"This is a better view of the sunset" Peeta says to me with his eyes fixed on the sunset. The orange in the sky is Peeta's favorite color. It's so pretty no wonder why it is his favorite color.
"It's beautiful" I say in awe.
"Just like you" Peeta says to me and looks into my gray seem eyes. I blush and smile. I see Peeta get up and then go on one knee. Oh god.
"Katniss, we have been through so much. I have loved you since the day I gave you bread and I always will. You have saved my life many times. I never want to loose you. You are the most strongest, most beautiful, and amazing person I know. Would you do the honor in marrying me Katniss Everdeen?" Peeta asks with tears running down his face. Peeta wants me to marry him.
"YES, PEETA!!!" I exclaim. I hug him tight. I cry happy tears. qWhen I let go Peeta takes the ring out of the box and slips it on my wedding ring finger. The ring is the pearl he gave me in the Quarter Quell. Next to the pearl are tiny diamonds that go along the whole outside part of the ring. The inside of the ring says "Alyways" I smile at the beautiful ring. Soon I will be Katniss Mellark. I smile and hug Peeta again. We pack up and walk back home.
"Peeta, you love me, real or not real?" I ask smiling. Peeta adjusts his head on his pillow and replies, "Real and always Katniss." I smile and kiss him.
"Peeta what do you think about building a house in the meadow on the lake?" I ask him.
"I think that sounds wonderful Katniss. We will start planing tomorrow." Peeta tells me. I nod and rest my head on Peetas chest. I start to dream of a beautiful house in the meadow with 2 children playing in the lake.
