Chapter 6: Talking to Taylor

I said something about Grant to Taylor and she played dumb and acted like it was the first time she heard about him.

"By the way if you wanted to know about Grant then you should ask me not my mom."

"I did not ask your mom." Taylor said.

"Ok well dad did."

"Yeah your dad called your mom and asked about him. You said you wanted your dad to be more involved in your life."

"I do but not when he calls my mom to find out information. My mom does not know what is going on and anyways Grant and I are friends."

" How old is he?"

" 17"

" You don't need to be talking to a seventeen year old Paisley."

" Why we are just friends nothing more."

" Because he is older than you and I've had parents and teachers come up to me and ask about him."

"So were just friends."

"If you keep talking to this boy you are going to lose the rest of your friends."

" I have more friends then just Violet."

" Who are they? Because last time I checked you don't have any."

" Yes I do. Their names are Kayla, Remi, and Kaylee."

" Their not your real friends. They do stuff with out you all the time. Have they even invited you with them anywhere."

" Yes they have."

" Where?"

" The movies, but I could not go because of the freezing rain. We also rescheduled and I could not go again because of Orion." (Author's note. Orion is were a wrestling meet was at that Kolt was in.)

"Ok but they still do stuff with out you."

(Author's note. It was only Violets parents and neither one of them are a teacher.)

I went downstairs to my room to get something that I need because I had an FFA event to go to.  When I went upstairs Taylor was talking to my dad about it. When she seen me she started talking to me again.  

" You need to stop talking to Grant because he has a girlfriend. "

"We only talk when we do our streaks."

"Streaks?"

" Something on Snapchat. Its tells you how long you have been talking to someone. We take a picture then write streaks on it and send it to the person that's it."

" I know you love him." 

"No I don't we are friends that's it."

" Well I've seen the way you look when his name pops up on your phone and how your rolling your eyes right now. A seventeen year old wants something completely different than what you want."

" I talk to more people then just him and we have already told each other that we are not going to do anything. " 

"How would you know have you been in that situation before?"

"No I haven't and we are FRIENDS, nothing more."

When you are talking to Taylor it is hard to get her to listen to you and not cut you off. She only hears what she wants to hear.  I normally have to scream and talk over her just to get my point across.   After that I left because I was going to be late to my FFA event.  While I was in the car I told my dad that" Its bull that I can't be friends with someone that is older than me. You want to know one of the reasons I'm friends with Grant is because he helped me when a guy kept sending me pictures that I did not like. He was the one to get the guy to stop."

I don't tell my dad and Taylor about all the pictures guys have sent me because it would end badly not just for them but for me.  My mom know about all of it. As you can tell I don't have that good of a relationship with my dad and Taylor. I will probably never have one with them or at least with Taylor.
