(29) A year later

Nya's POV

I was frozen. I couldnt move and i couldnt hold back my tears. They flowed like a hot river. I couldnt handle the sight of her. She had hurt me more than once. I had to breath. I didnt want to talk to her. I couldnt talk to her. I felt like all her words would be lies. She reached out for my hand and i snatched away from her. I sighed and backed away from her. " Nya please just talk to me." Shay said to me. I didnt want to hear a thing she had to say but this time i felt like i should listen. "You have 2 minutes so talk fast." I said to her with an attitude. She stepped closer to me and i backed away. " Listen when we were beefing Nique was just there. Those kisses meant nothing. I want you. You are suppose to be my wife. No one else. And i know i fucked up but i am sorry baby i am. I was wrong to even do that to you. Youre a queen and you deserve more than what i gave you. Kat probably treats you better than i do. And baby i want us to work but i understand if you dont want to fuck with me." Shay said while tears fell down her eyes. I allowed a couple of tears to fall but i didnt want to seem weak. "I have to go Shay. Just give me some time to think about this." I tried to walk past Shay. She grabbed me and pinned me to the wall. She looked me in my eyes and melted my soul. I tried to break out of her grip but she was too strong. She smashed her lips into mine and i felt sparks. But it felt like there was a old flame trying to grow bigger. Our lips moved in sync and her grip weakened. She pulled away from me. I looked at her and she looked at me. I dont know what to do. I just looked down and walked away. This is honestly alot to think about.

It's been a year since I've talked to Shay about anything. I've been going to college getting my degree in English to become a lawyer. Life has been good for me. Now mistakes no drama just peace at last. I have been seeing this girl Ty'ana. She Dominican and she goes to Yale University with me. We've been talking for a good 6 months now. She knows about Shay and all our history and she's okay with that. I haven't talk to anyone I know for a while because everyone would ask me about Shay.  I live in my own apartment with two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. As I was cleaning up my kitchen I heard a knock on the door. I dried my hands and walked to the door. I opened it to see Kat starting at me. "Well damn, it's been at year since I seen ya fine ass." I rolled my eyes and walked away from the door. She trailed behind me and shut the door. "What are you doing here Kat. " I asked as she made herself at home. I went to the kitchen and poured her a glass of Hennessey with orange juice.  "Well I heard you talking to some new bitch how's she treating you" I sighed and slowly walked away. "Have you talked to Shay." She asked me. I shook my head. I knew she knew something that could be valuable for me to know. "Did you know she's seeing that Jahri girl. The bartender at our spot." I knew exactly who she was talking about. And that girl was bad asf. Like damn Shay picked a fine ass bitch to try and replace me. "So you poppin out with me and Keyz tonight or nah." She I asked I nodded my head and told her I'll be there with my girl. She got up and walked towards me and gave me a hug. "You know i still want you tho right." I rolled my eyes and laughed. "Nah because you still fucks with Mya. Now bye Kat."  She kissed my cheek and walked out the door.

Shay's POV
I was walking down the Isle of stop & Shop looking for some fruit snacks and cookies. I've been kinda on my own since I haven't seen Nya in a year. I guess this means it's really over between us. She changed her number and everything.  The last time I saw her we were on the verge of fucking and that was that. I found the fruit snacks and the cookies and placed them in the cart. As I went to the check out line I started to think  Bout my girl Jahri. And damn she is fine. She works at Diamonds as a bartender . We have been talking for a grip and I'm really feeling her. Like she makes me happy and everything. She knows and Bout Nya and all our problems but you know i aint even worried the past is the past and I wish nothing but the best for her. My phone started to ring and I began to place the items on the belt. "Hello?" I said. I knew it was Jahri she always calls when I'm thinking about her. "Hey baby you coming out tonight?" She asked me in her sad puppy voice. "Yeah I'll be there and then after ima take you home and you know the rest." Today was her birthday and I wanted to make it extra special. she laughed on the other line and told me she had to go get ready. I bagged the rest of the items and headed for the car. Tonight was going go be one hell of a night. 

Later that night
  I hopped out the shower and put on some lotion and put on my red button down shirt and and my white jeans with my red J's.  I braided my hair back into two braids and made sure I was fleeky for my baby. It was around 12 o'clock and I  knew i should be heading out. I grabbed my wallet and my phone and headed to Diamonds. Tonight was gonna be a good night.

Nya's POV
I got out the shower and lotioned my body. I put on my skin tight black dress and my red heels. I was looking like a fucking snack. T came out the room wearing all black with her black J's and a gold chain. I sighed. She reminded me of Shay when we were together. We would always match together. I did my eyebrows and my makeup and made sure my hair was laid. It was around 12:30 and I knew the spot was jumping. I grabbed my phone and keys and left the house. "Baby you ready to turn the fuck up." T asked me. I smiled as she opened my car door for me. I smiled and started to twerk a little. She slapped my ass and I got on the passenger side. Yes she's driving my car. I am okay with it she ain't do nothing wrong.

At the club
We arrived at the club and it was already booming.  Rico let us in and I already saw Kat. "Damn ma you looking right asf." She took a picture of me and posted it on her IG and snap. With a caption that says "when your best friend looking finer than ever 🔥💜" Immediately mad people started to like the picture and comment. I was having so much fun. I was dancing and singing having a nice grand ole time.

Shay's POV
Yo this club was booming today. Everyone And the mom was out tonight. I headed to the bar to go see my baby making her shmoney. "Ayo baby." I said. She smiled and gave me a drink. "Damn baby you looking right." I laughed she was right I was looking hell hella good. Bruno Mars 24k Magic came on and everyone one started jamming. I went to the dance floor and started to dance with a couple of people I knew. We always have a great time when we link up.

Nya's POV
I went to the bar and got a drink. "May I have a orange soda spiked." The bartender gave it to me and i gave her a ten and roll her to keep the change. Bruno Mars is blasting thru the speakers. He is deadass my husband. Like let them play my song. It's gonna be over if they play Vessace on the floor. I got up from the bar and head to the bathroom. I fixed my hair and took a cute mirror selfie. Heard Vessace on the floor come on and I ran out the bathroom back to Kat and them. No one wanted to dance with me so I went on the floor and danced by myself. I felt arms wrap around my waist and me and the person danced in sync like they knew exactly what I was going to do. I grinded in sync with who ever this was. "Take it off for me for me for me for me now girl." I was having a Good time. But i started to get hype. The song was over and I turned around and saw her beautiful hazel eyes. "I missed you." She said. It was Shay. "That was our song. You still dance the same way to that song." I was star struck. "Damn you look amazing.  What has it been a year." I nodded. "Yeah look at you looking all fine and what not." She smiled. "Well I have to go but we should really catch up sometime soon. " She said to me. I nodded. She gave me all hug and kissed my forehead. "See you around."  I watched shay walk away and it broke my heart. I missed her but I didn't know i would see her anytime soon. Damn she made me horny. I need to go have a seat. I walked back over to T and Kat and just sat there thinking about Shay. The whole night I saw her talking to her girl friend. When the club was shutting down T and Kat decided to go out and play pool and I headed home. I was alone in the parking lot walking to my car. "Nya wait up." I turned around and saw Shay running behind me. "Why you leaving all alone? I know you came here with someone." I looked at her. "Yeah she went with Kat to play pool." I nodded. And started at Shay. Every part of me wanted her and I knew she wanted me too. She grabbed my face and brush my hair away from my face. "You look absolutely beautiful and I really miss you." She leaned in and attempted to kiss me. "I have to go" She backed away from me slowly and walked away. This couldn't have been more amazing then to see my ex fiance.
