I sit alone on the window seat

And watch the couples walking by
Wishing I was brave enough to go meet people

Five, ten, a hundred people
Spilling out the nightclub across the road
2am now, and they're closing
Today, no one goes home alone

Eight in the morning
People waking up together
Going for a walk in the early morning sunlight
It won't be bright for a couple more hours
I hate Valentine's Day.
Sitting in the coffee shop
Nursing the same drink as an hour ago
Ten thirty, already busy
Couples feed each other pink cake
I hate Valentine's Day.
Roses in the park
Cake by the lake
Today I'm the only lonely girl
Reminding myself how alone I am
I hate Valentine's Day.
Make way for the Valentine's Scrooge! Valentine's is a holiday for people who are dating.
