Chapter 16~ Family Reunion

Your POV
Christmas Eve~

"So when is your mom and Uncle Kenny coming?" I ask with a big smile. "They are coming at 6:30, im going to see if the boss will let me get off early since it's also my birthday." Levi says. "I almost forgot!" I get up and run to the hall closet.

"Forgot what?" Levi asks.

"Your gift silly..." I say as I get a big box out of the closet. "You got me a gift?" He asks. "Of course i did!" I smile. I get the box and place it in front of him. He stares at it before lifting his hand. "Hurry up!" I exclaim. "Tch. I'm going. Don't rush me brat." Levi mutters.

He looks at the tag and reads it aloud.

"To my roommate, friend, and fake boyfriend......really?" He asks.

"Yes really! Just open it already."

He takes a knife and cuts the tape. He opens the lid of the brown paper box and takes some packaging paper out of it. Levi reaches his hand inside and takes out a tea cup wrapped in plastic. "There's more!" I say.

He reaches in again and takes out a frame...like the one that I broke. It took me a week to fine the right one on amazon.

"Wow..." he says as he examines the frame. "You actually found a replica." Levi says. "Yep!" I smile.
"Is that it?" He asks. "Nope. Why don't you look inside?" I ask, a little annoyed. Once again, Levi puts his hand into the box and takes out a photo album and a Polaroid camera.

"......." he keeps quiet.

"Do you like it?" I ask. "How did you know?" He asks. "Know what?" I ask curiosly. "That this is what I wanted?" He asked. "I didn't know...I guess I just know you better then you think." I smile with my eyes closed. "Hm...." Levi says as he opens the photo album. Inside there are a few pictures. The first one is of Levi and I at school. He's glancing to the side as I throw up a peace sign with a smile. He chuckles.
The second is of Hanji, Erwin, and I. Hanji is on Erwin's back and I'm on Hanjis. Mike was taking the picture and his eyes popped into the corner of it. Levi shakes his head.

The third was of everyone on the rooftop of the school.

"When did you take these?" He asks. "When you weren't at school or in a different class." I explain. He turned the page to find a lose picture. It was of me when Hanji and I were messing around with the camera outside. It was in the afternoon and the sun was setting. Hanji made a peace sign in the bottom left corner. The picture had me in a beanie when Japan was at its coldest in the beginning of December. It was a side view of me and my hair was blowing because of the wind. I grabbed the picture in embarrassment. "T-that was not supposed to g-go in tbere!" I yelp. "What? Why not?" He asks, looking a little disappointed. "I didn't want you to see that." I blush.

"But why?" He asks.

"B-because...we m-messed up in that one." I lie. "Yeah yeah. Whatever. I'm keeping it." Levi snatches it out of my hand.

"Fine..." I whine. "But I don't like it." I say once more.

Levi POV

"But you look so beauti-" I mentally slap myself. "Hm? What was that?" She asks. "Nothing. I just said you look nice in it." I say.

"Oh...thanks...". She mutters, a faint blush covering her cheeks. "Thank you for the gifts." I say. "Your welcome!" She smiles. I take the picture of her and I and place it into the frame. "I thought you would want to use that for maybe a family picture." She says, a little puzzled.
"There's more frames in Japan."I sayc as I straps in the picture with the slits.
"Oh...well. We can take one with your mom and uncle tonight." She smiles. "Yeah sure." I reply as I stare at the picture. I stand up and walk into my room. I then place the picture on my desk, next to my books and other things. I take a sharpie and write on the back of the frame.

"Ugly Door and Me."

I go back to the living room and check the time.

"Well...I have to go to work now YN." I say as I grab my jacket and bag. "O-ok...I'll see you later then." She smiles. "Bye." I ruffle her hair before I open the door. "By the way! I cancelled with Eren so I can meet your family tonight!" YN shouts before I leave. "Oh ok. I'll see you later." I say as I leave.

Time Skip To Levi's Work
Levi POV (still)

"Hey Mr. Yukitora." I wave as I open the door to the cafe. "Levi! How are you?" He asks. "I'm good. How are you?" I ask as I set my things down and begin to work.

Time Skip- 6 hours of work-

"So. I was going to tell you later. But I think I should just tell you. I'm giving you the rest of the day off. I was going to go home anyway, and I don't think it would be fair to have you working here on Christmas Eve while I'm at home with my family. So go spend time with your family! Friends! Perhaps a girlfriend?" Mr. Yukitora says. "Thank you sir. But I don't have a girlfriend if that's what you think." I say. "Are you sure?" He asks me.
"Yes. I'm sure." I chuckle. "Well then go have a nice time with your 'not girlfriend' YN." Mr. Yukitora smirks. I slightly blush. "Heheheh good bye sir." I say as I grab my stuff and head for the door. "Goodbye Levi. Have a good Christmas." He smiles as I leave the cafe.

I check the time as I walk home. It's 5:50. That means that they should be there right now, or are really close. I should start running. I wrap my scarf around my face to block the cold air from hitting my face. I sprint to the apartment, passing different shops and stores. I make it to the aprtment and speed up to the door. I use my key to open the door. I hear YN laughing.

The door pushes open to reveal them. It's YN sitting on the couch, with my mom and my uncle.

"Levi. Your home." YN smiles. "Hey..." I trail off. My mom gets up and takes me over with a hug. "Levi...I missed you so much..." she says, I can hear her smile. She let's go and examines me.

"Have you gotten shorter?" She asks me. "What? No!" I exclaim. She laughs and pats my back. I engulf her in a hug. "I've missed you." I say. "I've missed you to Levi..." my mother says.

"Are you just going to ignore your Uncle!" I hear Kenny. "No I wasn't ignoring...I was avoiding-" I get cuff of my Kenny squeezing me in a hug, making my back crack. "Let go of me!" I shout.

Your POV

Levi's mom was beautiful. She had the same eyes and nose as Levi. Her hair was long and silky, a dark pitch black. Levi looked just like her. His uncle Kenny was fairly handsome. His jawline was very structured and had a hard looking face. His hair reached to his neck and he wore a brown fedora to cover it. The Ackermans were a good looking family.

"They barely walk into the door and you already get a beer?" Levi asks Kenny.
"No! I offered it to him!" I say. "I don't want to deal with a drunk Kenny." Levi complains. "Oh you won't have to! This is my first and last one." Kenny says.
"It better be." Levi says.

"Anyway! YN here has been very helpful. She's so beautiful too. I'm so glad you found yourself a girlfriend Levi." Kuchel smiles.
"What?!" Levi and I say. "Oh...your not together?" Kuchel says, looking a little shocked.
"Then why are you two living together?" Kenny butts in. "It's a big misunderstanding. Our contracts on the apartment got mixed up and we got involved in a scam." I explain.
"We didn't really have a choice." Levi adds. "I see I see. So your telling me nothing has happened between you two?" Kuchel asks a little suspiciously. "Nop-" Levi was about to say but I cut him off.
"Well...." I start.
"YN! Your not supposed to say anything!" Levi shouts. "I don't feel comfortable lying to your mom!" I say.

"Tch...." Levi runs his head.

"Well...aren't you going to explain?" Kuchel and Kenny ask with a smirk.

"Uhhhhh....."
