Chapter 42~ They Were Roomates

Your POV

The last chapter

I woke up to the sound of a monitor beeping. It was low and quiet, barely audible. I was lying down on a bed and as I opened my eyes it was bright. I had to squint so I didn't hurt my orbs. I looked around slowly, I was in a hospital and my abdomen was in excruciating pain.

I groaned as I sat up in the bed.

I looked to my side to see Levi sitting on a small couch. He was resting his head on his arm and I think he was half asleep.

"L-Levi." I barely choked out. My throat was sore and dry. His eyes widened suddenly and he shot up straight from his seat. He rushed over to me and instantly made his hand connect with mine.

"You're awake." He grinned.
"It seems that way." I chuckled lowly.

"How're you feeling?" He asked with concern flooding his voice. "I feel okay right now. Just a little sore." I smiled weakly at him.

"What happened?" I asked him. I vaguely remembered anything.

"Well. You got stabbed." He said bluntly. "Oh no shit Sherlock." I laughed at him.

"Reiner was going to stab me. You got in the way. He stabbed you. Mori tackled Reiner and Kyoya called the police and ambulance." Levi explained.
"Where is he now?" I asked.
"Who?...Reiner?"

I nodded. 

"He's currently being distributed into a prison as we speak." Levi told me, rubbing circles on the palm of my hand.

"Eren?" I ask.
"I told him to go get you some food from the cafeteria. He should be back any minute now." Levi told me.
It was quiet for a few seconds before Levi spoke up. His voice sounded different. It was fear, sadness, and anxiety all rolled into one.
"You never pull a stunt like that again. You hear me?" His voice sounded like it was about to break. He was looking down but slowly made his way up and made eye contact with me. His eyes were bloodshot and puffy.
He had been crying.

My heart softened and I felt a wave of guilt wash over my entire being.
"I'm sorry." I croaked out barely.

"It's okay...." he said quietly.

Suddenly, the hospital rooms door swung open and in came 3 people. Hanji, Erwin, and Eren. Hanji and Erwin looked absolutely terrified and Eren looked happy as a clam because he was holding a cup of hospital pudding with a spoon.

"I told them while I was getting pudding. They rushed over as soon as possible." Eren explained the presence of my two best friends.

"Are you okay?" They both asked me in unison.
"I'm fine." I told them, reassuringly.

They both smiled and nodded.
Hanji, Erwin, and Eren walked over to the side of the room and sat down on the small couch.
Levi looked at me and pulled out two envelopes. One of them he handed to me and the other he put back in his jacket.
"What's that one?" I asked, pointing to the other envelope.
"Nothing." He bluntly stated and secured it in his jacket pocket. I shrugged it off.

I opened the envelope to find a small piece of paper. It had about a paragraph or two of writing on it.
