*Lily's POV*
My eyelids fluttered open and all the pain returned. Physical and emotional. I groaned as I lifted my body from the floor and walked slowly over to my small desk. I opened the draws and unpacked my clothes which consisted of three t-shirts and one pair of leggings and one pair of yoga pants. Both of which had holes in because of the amount of times that I have worn them. I sighed and emptied my black backpack onto the floor and started to fill it.
I opened my other draw and it was filled with all my special trinkets which I had hidden from my father. I picked up my mothers locket and placed it around my neck. It held a picture of my mother laughing on one side and on the other it had a picture of my mother holding me only moments before she died. A tear escaped my eye and I quickly blinked the rest away. I had stored many of my mothers personal items such as her photos and jewellery. I placed all the items into the backpack and zipped it up. Am I really going to do this? Father would be so angry- no, I'm going to do it. I need to get away from here.
I hid the backpack in the corner of the room next to the small window. I would be called down in 5 minutes to prepare food for the pack so I decided to wash up. I grabbed a wet wipe from my desk and began to clean up the mess. I scrubbed every inch of my body, wanting to get rid of the horrible reminders but they will always be there in my mind and then there is the one on my arm which is a constant reminder of what I am.
"Get down here Omega, the pack is hungry!" My father shouted from the bottom of the stairs. I responded with a shaky 'yes Alpha', and bolted down the stairs to prepare their meal.
I ended up making chicken stir fry
wraps for everyone. I'm guessing they liked it as there was none left for me once again. I sighed and turned towards the sink, starting on cleaning the dishes. I finished in record time and just as I was about to drain the water Jason walked in and dumped more dishes, bowls, cutlery and glasses into the soapy water.
"Chop chop Omega." Jason said mockingly as he stabbed my hand with a fork. I flinched in pain and brought my hand up and cradled it to my chest.
"Oopsie. I must have slipped." Jason smirked as he left the kitchen to watch the football match on the TV.
Once I had finished cleaning the dishes, putting away the dried items and draining the sink, I trudged upstairs and slumped on my matress. Every now and then I would hear the pack members downstairs scream abuse at the TV or cheer loudly. Now would be a good time to go right? I mean they're too involved in the game to notice and the Alpha won't check on my until at least half time, and that's not for another 20 minutes at least. I picked up an old raggedy jumper and pulled it on, zipping it up to the top. I grabbed the backpack and hauled over my shoulder. This is it. I'm breaking free.
