*Lily's POV*

I looked at the window and grimaced. How am I going to fit out of that? I shook off all of my fears and slowly creaked open the window. Once I opened the window as far as I could I dropped my backpack outside. It made a soft thud when it hit the ground. I took a deep breath and wriggled my legs out of the small gap. I continued to shimmy my whole body out the window until my feet hit the window sill outside. The drop from the window was about 6feet and I cringed. Oh damn it. Just jump you big whimp! I took a few comforting breathes and then jumped from the window sill. When my feet hit the floor I cried out in pain and then smacked my hand over my mouth to stop me from crying. The yelling in the house got louder and I heard the whistle for half time. Shit! I picked up the backpack and slung it over my shoulders and started to run. I don't care that my feet hurt, I just need to get as far away as I can.

I bolted into the forest, constantly turning around in fear that I would be followed and dragged back to that house. Once I was deep enough in the forest and a couple of miles away from the border I dropped my backpack and began to undress. I didn't want to ruin my clothes when I shifted. I shoved the clothes into the backpack quickly, not really caring if they weren't folded. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and imagined my wolf. When I again opened my eyes I was no longer on two feet, instead I was on four white paws. I picked up the backpack carefully in my mouth and began running to the border.

I kept running, I didn't want to stop but my wolf was tiring. I've been running for hours, running away from my pack, away from my family, away from the ones that cause me pain. I heard the howl of my father as I passed into another packs territory. I heard the thud of paws running towards me and I slowed my run. I perked my ears up as 5 wolves stood in front of me bearing their teeth.

"Shift rogue!" I heard the powerful voice in my head and noticed that he wasn't the Alpha so he must be the Beta. I bowed my head in respect and laid down on the floor cautiously peering up at the Beta.

"I SAID SHIFT!" I shakily stood up and picked up the clothes that had been thrown in front of me. I walked behind the tree and shifted, pulling the clothes onto my body.

When I emerged from behind the tree I noticed that the 5 wolves had shifted and were now glaring at me in human form.

"What are you doing on BloodMoon Pack territory rouge!" My eyes warily wondered over the wolves and I let my hair fall over my eyes.

"I-I ran away from m-my pack." I answered nervously.

"You're still a rogue, we kill rogues that trespass on our land." My head snapped up and my eyes widened in fear.

"No! Please, I was just passing through! I mean no harm to your pack, please." I started begging for my life.

"Grab her, we'll take her to the clearing, we will do it there." Two men grabbed my arms and carried my thrashing body to the clearing.

My wrists were chained to a post in the middle of the clearing and the Beta stood in front of me, his eyes black.

"We don't accept rogues stepping one foot into our land. The payment for trespassing is death." Tears began to roll down my cheeks as the Beta walked closer to me.

"P-please...Dont..." I tried to back away but nothing worked as I was chained to this post.

"Rogues will be eliminated." I closed my eyes just as the Beta shifted into his wolf. I prayed in my mind for God to forgive me for my sins. I prayed at my mother and wish that she will welcome me with open arms once I am in heaven.

A loud growl made my eyes snap open, the Beta was no longer in front of me, instead he was laying dead on the ground. A man stood protectively in front of me, his back muscles were ridged and I could feel the anger radiating from his body. I felt a pull towards this man, my wolf was purring and wanting him to turn around.

"She's mine!" The man growled in a deadly tone that made me shrink back in fear. The others fled back to wherever they came from and I could feel the man slowly starting to relax. He turned around and gazed into my eyes, he had sparkling blue eyes that made me swoon and I could hear my wolf chanting in my head. 'Mate!' 'Mate!' 'Mate!' My eyes widened in shock, I- I had a mate? When he took a step closer to me I instinctively flinched backwards.

"It's ok my love. My name is Mason, Mason Turner and I'm the Alpha of the BloodMoon pack." My mate's an Alpha?
