Jesse's POV

“Fuhrer?” I said, shocked. He looked better than he had the last time I saw him. Much younger and happier.

He just smiled at me, I turned around to see PJ smiling from ear to ear at me, he stood up and nudged me in the direction of the man in the doorway. At this motion, I just ran at him. I sprinted across the room at the man full speed, making it to him in about two seconds. I jumped into his arms and wrapped my legs around his waist, hugging him like I hadn't seen him in years, which is practically true, I hadn't actually seen him in person since the summer after PJ moved in.

I stayed like that until I heard a purposeful cough from PJ. “Shut it asshole. I don't care about anything right now.” I said loud enough for him to hear me.

“Not even the fact that we have another surprise waiting for you at Nelson's house?” PJ said. At this point I let go of the man, still standing practically in the doorway, and turned around to look at PJ.

“Okay, what the fuck? What's with this?” I said, clearly making my voice show how confused I was.

“Fuhrer, stay out here, don't tell her anything. PERSON THAT SHE BROUGHT HERE, come with me please?” PJ said, I laughed that he had already forgotten Alex's name. Alex reluctantly followed PJ into MY room. Why the hell didn't they go into PJ's? Ugh.

Alex's POV

“Okay, before you say anything, I understand that you're confused. I didn't know she'd be bringing you home, but that doesn't matter. Let me explain things.

First, that dude out there is our Father. She hasn't seen him in person in over 3 years. He's a dick. I hate him. I also love him. I don't know what she thinks about him, but I guess she likes him enough to have just hugged him to death. Apparently she hasn't told you anything, which I guess is her decision, but I don't care because I'm gonna tell you.” At this, he took a pause to catch his breath. I was still completely confused, but if I knew one thing, this girl had an interesting life.

“He got a girlfriend her freshman year of High school. He stopped paying any attention to us when he did that. She took it harder than I did because she was always kinda ignored already. Anyway, that isn't important. The important thing is that his girlfriend is back in Europe for the next 3 months and he's staying here. I found out a few weeks ago. She doesn't know.” He shot me a look at this. “Don't tell her tonight. We're having a party tomorrow to surprise her, I hate parties, so you aren't going to make me go through that for nothing.” I raised my hands in surrender. I was still confused, but not so much. I wasn't even going to ask what happened to her Mom.

“She's been having a hard time lately, so we decided about a week ago that if she didn't find a way to get out of here for a few weeks on her own, that we were going to send her to New Mexico with Ceci for a vacation. Luckily, she got the Guitar tech job.” I smirked at this. PJ still didn't know I was in the band. Ha.

“No matter what, we decided that she was going to be leaving Maryland sometime this week, so we called in a few of her friends that she hasn't seen in a very long time. I rarely, RARELY talk to Nick Nelson. He's an asshole and a tool. Anyway, not my point. My point is that I talked to him and got him to invite Ceci and a few of Kate's old friends over tonight. You're lucky enough to be invited because Nick decided that apparently you're 'special' so he wants you to be around. Whatever, I don't care enough to care. Tomorrow night we need you to keep Kate out of this apartment until about 9 ish. Take her to dinner or something, I don't know.

Finally, I'm a hypocrite so yes, I did just number these steps out loud. HA, cause I can do that. ANYWAY. Do you understand what's going on now?”

FINALLY. Finally someone has explained something to me. I finally understood my situation now, but I was still curious about one thing. “Why the hell did you hit her last night?” I said, not harshly, but blatantly. His face fell. He actually seemed to feel bad about it.

“I love that kid out there to death. She's just really fucking stupid sometimes and I'm scared of her getting hurt. When I saw her with you assholes, I knew something bad would end up happening. I guess nothing bad has happened yet, but I'm still cautious. She wasn't fully paying attention to me and I was in a bad mood and I just kinda snapped. It happens sometimes. I didn't mean anything by it, I just couldn't control myself. I know you probably don't understand. I don't get it either. I'm a prick, what can I say.” Wow. He was a cocky asshole, that's for sure, but he seemed to actually care.

It does really irritate me when Jesse and PJ say things that make me feel stupid. I feel like they're on there own different level from everyone else. I don't know. I chose to forget about that for now though. “Anything else I should know before we go?” I said with a smile. I actually kind of liked PJ, he was such a dick, but somehow he was likeable.

“Nope. That should be it! Cool. She actually brought you to the house, so I guess you actually are special. I guess that means I'll end up seeing you again sometimes. Whatever you do, don't tell her about this talk we just had, any of it. She's my little sister, and I am extremely different when around her than I am when I was just with you. That entire conversation stays between us.”

“Okay man, that's fine.” I said, and at that, we walked out to see Jess sitting on the floor with her Dad. She definitely is something, seeing as there is a couch about two feet to her left. “Um, why are you sitting on the floor?” I said with a laugh. She noticed that we had come back in and stared at PJ, not answering my question.

“FINE. IT'S JUST SO MUCH WORK.” he said sarcastically from next to me, and before I knew it, she had stood up, he had pushed the couch to be where she had just been sitting, and she was sitting on it.

“Um, what?” I said, and Jess, PJ, and their father just started laughing out of no where.

When they had settled down, Jess looked straight at me and smiled. God I liked that smile, it lit up all of her features. Her eyes because an amazing bright blue and her dimples showed. “This is where the couch is SUPPOSED to go, but he is always moving it around and thinks I don't notice, which I obviously do. If it's not where it goes, I always sit on the ground and wait for him to move it back. Simple.” She said, smiling even bigger. Ugh, why is she so gorgeous?
