7:35pm, Friday
The bar was actually beautiful. It wasn't the typical bar you see, its those bar you see when two ladies just want to spend the night to talk.
"You know Caren, your mom really loves you. She just doesn't know how to show it. The only way she does it, when she tries to be always concerned about you." Elise stated. The moon shines bright tonight, as Caren and Elise are sitting on an open area bar near the ocean. A local band was setting up on the stage for their next jam. Elise ordered drinks, one heavy and one light. Apparently, Caren is still 17 and Elise is 22 years old. "I'm scared Elise. I'm scared of the future. I'm scared that one day, when mom is gone, who will manage The Donut Shop? I'm scared because I don't want to manage it and, I feel guilty about it. I want to be a singer. I want to get out from here and share my voice to the world. But I don't want to leave my mom. "
Okay. This is going to be difficult. I might need to order another drink. Elise thought to herself.
"I didn't know you wanted to be a singer! Wow! That's huge, Caren! I haven't heard you sing too. Can you give me an example?" Elise asked.
"Right now?" Caren asked.
"Yes! Come on, don't be shy. How are you going to pursue your dream if you wont express yourself? Or do you want to sing for us? Right here? There's a stage! Come on, Caren!" Elise pulled Caren straight to the stage. Elise pulled the microphone and spoke.
"Hello? Everyone? Excuse me? Can I have your attention for a while?" An old man stood up and shouted, "Go on miss! Don't waste our time!"
"Oh, okay, okay. This is my friend, Caren. I want you to give her a chance tonight to sing in front of you, because this lady right here, is going to be singer! So everyone, give a round of applause for Caren!" Elise shouted very enthusiastically from the microphone.
"Elise! My gosh! I don't even know what song to sing!" Whispered Caren.
"Just pick anything. A song that's close to your heart." Elise said.
Elise walk down the stage and talks to the booth manager.
Then the booth manager went to Caren. "Miss, what song are you going to sing?"
"Uhmm... Do you have True Colours by Tom Odell?" Asked Caren.
"Okay, let me see." The manger went to his booth and about 15 seconds, an instrumental started playing.
"You can do it, Caren!" Shouted Elise. And then an angelic voice was coming from the speakers.
You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged
Oh I realize
It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
Darkness inside you
Can make you feel so smallBut I see your true colours
Shining through
I see your true colours
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colours
True colours
Beautiful
Show me a smile then
Don't be unhappy
Can't remember when
I last saw you laughing
