Chapter 2: Movie Night!

Chapter 2: Movie Night

{Alex's POV}

I went straight home after school. I ran upstairs to my room and locked the door. I ran to my pillow and screamed in my pillow, so that my scream wasn't too loud. I am so excited. I'm going to a movie with Logan and Jake! Jake! Jake! Jake is picking me up in four hours, 17 minutes, and 32 seconds to take me to a movie, but who has a countdown on there phone? Whoops! The best part is, Kayla isn't going! I don't even know if Kayla even likes Jake. I hope not, because I do, I don't just like Jake, I love Jake Smith!

I run into my walk-in closet and throw out a few of my favorite outfits. Okay do I know I always consider myself a tomboy, we'll I am. Just not around Jake. Around Jake I try to act like just a friend, but inside I am totally not relaxed. Jake and I have been friends forever, and so we make jokes all the time. I throw about half my closet all over the floor.

Then I see it. I see the outfit I'm going to wear. Skinny blue jeans, white lace top, and my brown cowgirl boots. That way I don't look like I tried to hard. I wear my hair down in curls, letting it fall on my mid-back. I put on some light makeup, and while I'm doing my mascara my phone vibrates, causing me to almost blind myself.

I.Got.A.Text.From.Jake. I almost scream! I open the text and read.

To: Alex

From: Jake

Message- Hey Alex. Can I pick you up at 7:30? We can stop and get some dinner, then head to the movie. Only if you want.

I get butterflies in my stomach so much and I start dancing in my room like an idiot. Then, I realize that I should reply before he gets the wrong idea.

To: Jake

From: Alex

Message- Sure! That sounds great. I'll be ready at 7:30.

I hang on my bed playing on my phone, because I've been getting ready since I got home from school, and since it's only six, I have a while to wait. I decide to tell Maria and Jamie what's just happened. Right before I start texting them, I get a text.

To: Alex

From: Logan

Message- Hey! I wanted to know if you have plans for dinner?

Oh shit! No! Did Logan just ask me out? I know the invite with Jake was just as friends because he has a girlfriend but Logan is single and I've had plenty of people say he likes me.

To: Logan

From: Alex

Message- Yeah, I'm sorry. Jake is picking me up and we are going to dinner then the movie. Sorry!

To: Maria and Jamie

From: Alex

Message- OMG! I know this is just as friends, but....

JAKE ASKED ME TO DINNER BEFORE THE MOVIE!!!!! AND I SAID YESSSSSSSSS!

Then Logan asked me and I had to turn him down :(

I then look at my watch and realize that it's almost 7:30, so I go downstairs and talk to my mom and dad.

"Hey Mom! Hi Dad!"
