Chapter 3: Secrets

*A week after the movie*

{Jake's POV}

I wake up and get ready for school, just like normal. This past week has been weird..but I can't figure out how. Kayla is acting different. She's not spending time with me a lot. I have found myself spending a lot of time with someone else.

I have been spending a lot if time with Alex this past week. I'm actually liking it. Normally I would be upset that my girlfriend seems to not want to be around me, but I'm not. She actually seems like she's still mad at me about the whole movie thing. The movie was great. After the movie not so much. I didn't even think that Logan would see my arm around her.

I go downstairs. I don't say bye to my mom. I don't say bye to my dad. Not to my sister. And not to either of my brothers, mainly since my 4 year brother isn't there and my 16 year old brother is at school. I don't know why, I just don't want to. I get in my black Ford truck and I drive to school. I park my car and climb out.

I see something. Someone. Actually it's two people. I see Kayla. And a guy. Not just any guy. I see Kayla and Drew, my brother kissing. It doesn't look like just a kiss. She has her arms wrapped around Drew's neck. Drew's arms are on her waist, looking like he's slinging them to her butt. Why would Kayla want to date Drew? She's a senior and he's a sophomore.

I try hard to talk myself out of what I'm about to do. I walk over to them. I'm pissed. I'm beyond pissed. I get to them and I'm fuming "Drew, what the hell is wrong with you! That's my girlfriend!" I push Drew away from her, causing him to fall backwards. He catches himself.

"What the hell? Why did you push him? Don't hurt Drew!-" Kayla seems like she could go on and on, but I cut her off, "That's my little brother and your my girlfriend! You two looked like your trying to eat each other's faces off. How am I supposed to react to this?"

"I'm your ex-girlfriend" Kayla says, looking at Drew then back at me. "So you shouldn't really give a shit what I do."

"Ex? When did this happen?!" I say with my face so red because I feel like I could punch her but I would never hit a girl.

"Right now. I realized that your brother is much more fun, much nicer, much sweeter, and a lot better kisser!" Kayla says as if she was the best person ever. She doesn't seem upset at all.

"Whatever. Screw you!" I scream and kick the ground really hard. I grab my backpack from the ground and run into school. I run over to Logan. I can tell by his face that he knows what's going on. I'm not someone that gets mad much, but I look furious, mad, pissed, hurt, upset, and I could cry any second.

"Girlfriend problems?" He asks with sympathy.

"Ex-Girlfriend. She's dating Drew now." I say, but it looks like I'm not just talking to Logan anymore. Alex, Maria, and Jamie are all standing around. Their jaws drop. I can tell they are shocked. "I just never saw this coming. I didnt expect it to happen like this."

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry Jake!" Maria says.

"Me too." Jamie says frowning. They both give me a hug. Surprisingly, Alex is just standing there and being quiet. When Maria and Jamie let go, I just look at Alex. I want to hug her so bad.
