„Are you sure he's not the one?", I asked Dante. I was lying on my bed, my feet resting on Dante's shoulder as he watched me. I had been so sure that boy was the one who had killed me but Dante had told me that guy never lied.

„Very sure. It's not like him not to suck your blood out of you. But I would suggest you to be still cautious when he's around. I doubt he has given up on you so easily", Dante answered. I yawned.

„That means we're at the beginning again, doesn't it?", I asked and sat up. How disappointing. I had had a trace to my killer – and in the end it was all coincidence. Great!

„No, it doesn't. We have Shin on our side. Remember? He said he'd help", Dante told me. I breathed out loudly.

„Yeah, right. What can he do we can't?" Dante shrugged and kept silent for a while. Then his eyes began wandering over my body to my skirt.

„Yuki. I can see your panties when you sit like that", he said. What? I felt I was blushing and quickly brought my legs in another position.

„Why are you even looking? It's not like you don't know my body. How often did you walk into the bathroom while I was showering?", I asked and averted my eyes. But I felt Dante's gaze above me.

„You're like a child sometimes", he said and stood up. I stared at him in disbelief.

„What did you just say?! Say that again!", I said outrageously. No matter what I did or how I acted, he had no right to criticize me!

„I said you were like a child sometimes." He did it. He seriously repeated himself. I took a step towards him and slapped him with all my power. He was almost thrown off his feet.

„Don't you dare say that again! Who do you think I am, scumbag?", I scolded him. Dante smiled, his cheek getting deep red. Well, he deserved it.

„My apologies, master. I won't do it again", he said. I slowly calmed down again and made my way to the kitchen. My mood swings always made me hungry. I put a frozen pizza into the old oven and hoped it would work. Seriously, Dante was the one acting like a child! He was so annoying. If it weren't for the vengeance I would have abandoned him long, long ago. I wouldn't even have made that contract. How I wished for that right now! I would have died peacefully, leaving the world when I wanted it.

But I guessed that wasn't true. Even if I had committed suicide back then, I would have had regrets. Showing those children such a terrible sight. Not giving my future a second chance. I had sold my future to Dante in exchange for the chance of revenge, but at least I hadn't given up just like that. It was hate that had brought me back to this world. Most people who made contracts did it out of love for the people they left behind, but I had had no one I could have loved. So instead of loving, I had decided to hate. Hate and live as long as I needed to bring down my hate. Would I die peacefully after killing the guy who had killed me?

The oven beeped and told me the pizza was ready to be eaten. I took it out with bare fingers – stupid idea. I burnt ba left hand and let out a quiet scream. Quickly I let it slide onto my plate and placed it on the table. A slight pain came from the spot where I had touched the pizza for too long. I sighed and held my hand under cold water to ease the pain when Dante appeared beside me.

„It's not necessary to remind me that this was a bad idea", I growled and turned off the faucet. I sat down and began eating the pizza as hot as it was. I didn't care.

„What's the matter with you today?", he asked. Good question. I was way more troubled than usual. I shook off the thought and decided to go to bed after I had eaten up. But until then I was stuck with Dante inside the kitchen.
