Chapter 5:

Recap:

"Ivy can you trust me with your secret yet?" he asked practically begging me. I just looked at him thinking before he started to beg some more. "please Ivy! I promise you can trust me."

I nodded and turned towards him. "It all started when--"

Chapter 5:

"It all started when I was 13. We were a perfect family. We would laugh and spend every Friday together to watch a movie for 'family time' as my mom would call it. All the other moms envied our family because it seemed perfect, too perfect. It was far from that though, but me and my dad never knew. My mom did. She knew what she would do to our family, but she still decided to cheat. My dad walked in on them in their room. At first, my dad was heart broken, he would cry and drink all the time. My mom told him how sorry she was, but my dads sadness turned to anger. He started hitting her and little things like that. I know it's not that little, but the other things he did made that seem so little I guess." I paused for a moment to collect myself. The tears seemed to want to fall, but I wouldn't let them. I looked at Hayden to see what his facial expressions showed. He looked angry, but when he meet my eyes he seemed to calm down a little. He nodded for me to continue so I did.

"He then started using knifes to hear her beg for him to stop, but he never did. I was in my room the whole time. I heard her beg and ask for mercy and I could never do anything. I sat there and heard my mom get beat knowing that I couldn't do a thing. The problem is, what if I had done something? Would she still be alive? Would I still have her?" I felt my lip quaver as the tears finally fell. I wiped at my eyes, but it was no use. Hayden rubbed circles into my back calming me down a little to where I could continue. "That day I came home, I was doing my homework when a gunshot echoed through my house. I jumped out of my bed and ran downstairs to find my mom in a pool of her own blood my dad was standing above her with a slight smirk on his face. He never would confess it was him, but I always knew. He called me pathetic because I cried and started taking his beating out on me. He never did use knifes on me so I was thankful for that. He would tell me how I looked just like her and that I am just like her. He'd call me things that I'd rather not repeat. Out of all those things that is not why I left. He did something no one is supposed to do. He took something I held so dear." I whispered as I tried to breath, but my lungs felt constricted.

"Hey its okay. Nothings going to hurt you again. I have you. Just breath." He whispered into my ear as he pulled me closer to him. I nodded as I tried to calm myself down. "Ivy, what did he take from you?" He asked after a little bit of silence.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. "It happened about two months ago. I tried my hardest to erase it from my mind, but it seemed to be on repeat over and over again." I took a deep breath and looked up at Hayden. "He stole my virginity. He took it from me like I was a useless little girl. I guess I am because I couldn't stop him. He had me pinned and I couldn't move. After I realized no one was going to help me, I gave up. I let him do what he wanted to me. I laid there motionless. He whispered how beautiful I was and how he was going to love doing that more often. When he left, I laid there for a couple of minutes, but it felt like hours. He left me as trash and I felt like it." I said as I tucked my head into Hayden's neck and waited for his reaction.

I don't know why what he thought of me bother me so much, but it did. I can't stand the idea of him hating me. "He WHAT?!" Hayden yelled making me flinch.

He started to shake again and when I tried to get away from him, he held me tighter to him. I started squirming in his arms trying to get out. "Please don't hurt me!" I said barely a whisper, but Hayden heard me.

He froze and loosened his grip before he flipped us over to where he was on top of me. My eyes widened in realization. "NO!! Please!! Don't do this!!" I screamed as I tried pushing him off of me. My vision blurred as tears fell as I cried for someone to help me.

"Ivy. Ivy. IVY!" Hayden yelled as he cupped my face with his hands. "I'm not going to hurt you. I would never hurt you. I'm the one to protect you. I will protect you Ivy." He said standing up and pacing back and forth in front of me.

"How could anyone do something like this? To his own daughter for God's sake!" He started to shake and his hands balled up into fist. All of a sudden I felt this ache through my whole body. It felt as if my body were trying to change itself.

"Hayden?" I whispered taking a shaky breath. He didn't even looked down at me, but just continued pacing. My body started to feel as if someone had lit it on fire so I quickly sat up. "Hayden." I said again in pain, but it seemed to come out as a gasp. He looked down at me and gasped.

"Hayden? Whats happening?" I whispered as I felt my elbow start to ache. He swiftly picked me up and took me to his room.

He sat down on the bed with me in his lap as he rocked me back and forth. "Its time." He stated as he pushed my hair off of my sweaty forehead. "You're going to be fine though." I nodded about to speak when my elbow seemed to pop out of place. I let out a scream of pain. I reached for my elbow, but Hayden grabbed my hand before I could grab my elbow. "Don't." He said as he laid me beside him.

"What? Why? What's happening?" I asked as my other elbow started to do the same thing.

"You my dear are changing into you wolf." Hayden said just before a scream of pain slipped through my lips.
