Chapter 3

I awoke and found myself wrapped up in Hayden's arms. My head was pressed against his chest as his arms were wound around me. His body heat seemed as if it would burn my skin, but the problem is, it was too hot for him to be human. He has got to have a fever. I tried pulling myself out of his arms to wake him up, but he had a death grip on me.

I wiggled around in his arms to try and wake him up. "Hayden!" I whispered and poked his chest with my free hand. "Hayden." I sang louder.

He moaned and pulled me impossibly closer. "Hayden." I said a little loader than before. He jumped up up out of bed and got in a defensive stance.

"What?" He asked confused. He looked around the room and glanced back at me. "Are you okay?" He questioned walking back over to me and sat on the side of the bed. He reached for my hand, but I dodged his movement.

I sat up and rested against the wall. "I have a lot of questions to ask you, but for right now, you need to go to the doctor." I said looking up at him. He looked confused so I put the back of my hand up to his cheek and let it stay there for about 10 seconds before Hayden slowly grabbed my hand and smiled down at me. Hayden chuckled at me for a second, but I guess he noticed how confused I looked because he stopped laughing, but his smile never left his God crafted face.

"Ivy, I guess it's time for me to explain some things to you." He said looking down. I looked at him and shook my head. I don't have time for this. I need to be out of this state by now! Heck, The country! I only stopped for a drink because I knew I had time. But now my times running short! Why did I even sleep in the same bed as him? How could I? He's a stranger that kidnapped me for heavens sake! What is wrong with me!

"I don't have time for this Hayden! You kidnapped me and you confuse me so bad. What is wrong with me? Your a stranger and you kidnapped me! I had no problem falling asleep last night when i should have because of my past and because you kidnapped me! See look at me. I'm sitting here yelling at my kidnapper when i'm supposed to be huddled in a corner afraid of you!" I paused for a second to get my breath, but i didn't miss the look on Hayden's face. His emotions flash across his face like an open book. he went from regret to sad to angry. I still kept going though. "And to be honest, that was the best night sleep I have ever had since my mom was murdered. I need to leave because he will find me and I don't want to be found! You have no clue what he would do to me if he found me! And on top of that i'm going crazy because the thought of leaving you is breaking my heart and I just met you! Your a stranger! I'm confused okay! Just so confused." I said whispering the last part. I felt so weak spilling my feelings to him, but once I started I couldn't seem to stop.

I didn't know I was crying until Hayden slowly lifted his hand and wiped away my tears. The shocks that went through my cheek was a shock to me. It felt good if i'm honest and I caught myself leaning into his hand wanting more. "And now I'm definitely going crazy because now I'm feeling shocks from---" I said, but was cut off by Hayden's thumb running across my lips.

"Ssh baby girl. Everything will make sense once I tell you what you need to know. For one your not going crazy because I feel the shocks too. They will only get stronger from here on out because you let me in. I'm sorry to hear about your mom Ivy, but where was your father through all of this?" He asked confused.

I automatically stepped away from him and looked down. I couldn't tell him. No one could know! "He, I can't!" I said shaking my head and taking another step back. The next thing I knew was that I was being pressed against the wall.

"It's him isn't it? Your father is the one who has hurt you in so many ways! He is the one your running from? Isn't he! He's the one who left this scar on your perfect body!" He yelled as his body began to shake and his face was turning red. I knew he was talking about the scar above my eyebrow because that was the scar he made on me that was actually on an open space.

He normally was smart and always hit and cut me somewhere I could cover with clothing, but that night he was so drunk. It was like something took over him. His eyes were no longer green, but black. His body shook the same way as Hayden's.

I had just gotten out of the shower and walked out into my room to find him sitting on my bed. I usually locked my door, but I didn't expect him back tonight. The next thing I knew, I was on the floor and he was on top of me. That night he stole the most precious thing to most girls. My virginity. I fought him and that's how I ended up with a scar. He left me laying on the floor like a piece of trash and at that time, I felt like one.

I was brought back from my flash back by some guys pulling Hayden off of me and another one standing in front of me asking if I was okay. I quickly nodded and wiped my eyes to get the tears to go away. "Hayden?" I asked as the guys were struggling to hold him back while yelling something about an Alpha and how he need to calm down.

When he heard my voice it was like he snapped out of it and closed his eyes. He reopened them and nodded to the guys holding his arms. They quickly released him and nodded. "Alpha, Luna." One said looking at Hayden then to me. They all walked out and now it was just me and Hayden.

"Alpha? Luna?" I asked confused. "What just happened?" I looked around and slid down the wall that my back was pressed too.

"You heard that?" He asked as he winced a little. He slowly walked over to me and sat beside me pulling me into his lap. I slowly nodded and curled up into his lap.

"What just happened?" I asked closing my eyes. I tried to steady my heart beat and breathing it was no use for his next sentence.

"Well Ivy, I'm a werewolf, and so are you."
