After I woke up, it was already near evening time.I had a migraine, but I still wanted to help out the rest as I felt guilty about dragging them into this. Reya and I went into the nearby woods to collect twigs and firewood to cook and Leo and Phara went to find edible plants or possibly an animal.

As we were walking in the wood, the hair on my neck stood up, and I felt like there was someone watching me. I shook it off as the paranoia, and continued walking.  After a minute, I smelt something. It was-it was, "FIRE! GET DOWN GET DOWN GET DOWN" I shouted.

Leo and Reya dropped onto the ground, but Phara was slightly slow. Leo grabbed Phara, and pulled her on top of him. Just as she hit the floor, flaming arrows flew over our heads. A net was thrown over us and we were stuck. At that moment, crossbow bolts flew over our heads and we heard screaming.

Someone grabbed onto out net and dragged us away. When he finally let us go, we were inside a cell. I was tied to a pole with Reya tied to the other side.

"Judging by the quality of the cell and the torches, we're in the medieval times." Phara said.

"Could you use your smarts to try to get us out of this!?"

"Yeah well, if I know what time per-"

At that moment, the jail cell opened, followed by a guard walking in.

"So, scum, what do you have to say for yourselves."

"That we're innocent and that your breath is so bad I can smell it from here." I muttered.

             "What did you say, scum?"

"Nothing. We're innocent. I want to talk to your king."

The guard laughed, showing us his crooked yellow teeth.

"As if the king has time to deal with peasants like you."

"If you aren't going to take us to your king, we'll find him ourselves.

"Well, if I ain't wrong, you're tied up and I have full power over you."

"Well, not quite. I mean, sure you have a sword and stuff, but my friend back there is currently cutting the ropes with a pocket knife, if I'm not wrong."

              "What's a pocke-"

Leo cut him short by hitting him in the back of the head with a rock. "You're lucky he's stupid. Why in the world would you inform him of what I was doing? Are you stupid? Anyway, good thing I have a pocket knife on me. After the ropeswing incident I thoug-"

"We agreed to never speak of that."

Leo laughed, and cut us free.

"Now, what idiot would put a flaming torch in a cell with wooden bars. That's just a breakout begging to happen."

"Well, if the king doesn't kill us, maybe we'll be able to survive, yeah?"
