The crack of thunder and the flash of lightning awakened me this morning. I just about jumped out of my skin.
"Golly," I mumbled, pressing my hand against my chest.
Storms had always calmed me down, but for some weird reason, now I felt a little freaked out by it. I guessed maybe because I'd just woke up. I squinted my eyes and looked around. I found myself sitting on the carpet.
Why am I on the floor? I thought.
I looked around a little more. I then saw my spiral notebook lying on the floor, along with several pencils and erasers. I also saw a plate with a half-eaten chocolate chip cookie with an almost glass of lemonade.
"Oh, right."
It took me a minute to realize that I was in my room, doing homework. I must've fallen asleep while taking a break or something. That would probably explain why my rear end was hurting. From sitting on the floor too long. I glanced at my digital clock that sat on my desk. One fifteen.
I should get in bed.
I got up, stretched, and slipped right under my blankets.
I almost fell back asleep when I heard a distant ringing. I thought it was my clock, so I pulled the covers over my head to drown the noise out. It took me a longer minute to recognize the ringing came from my cell phone. Groaning, I reached for it from my nightstand.
"Hello?" I muttered groggily.
"Ava?" The voice from the other line sounded familiar.
"Yeah? Who is this?"
"It's Robbie."
I grunted. "Robbie, this better be good. You better explain why you're calling me around this time. Besides, what are you doing up so early?"
"Never mind that. Tomorrow, I need you all to come here to school, but very early. I need to explain something to you girls, about setting something up," he explained.
"Setting something up? Like what?" I inquired, a little more alert now.
I sat up, running my finger through my hair.
"Well, it has something to do with Sidney."
"Is it a trap?"
"No. It's a prank."
A smile crossed my face. "What kind of prank is it?"
"You'll have to see when you get there tomorrow. Oh, gotta go. My parents are coming upstairs. Bye." I heard a click and the line went dead.
"Okay," I said. I hung up my line and went back to bed. I was hoping this prank was a good one. Because Sidney deserved one.

Yesterday, we showed up as Robbie had wanted us to and went through with us what the prank was. We were to set everything up on Wednesday, though.
Waiting for Wednesday felt like an eternity. It felt long and agonizing. But it ultimately came and, boy was I ecstatic. One, because Robbie plotted our revenge against Sidney. Secondly, because Tori and I involved with his diabolical plan so we got to help him with his prank. It all went down thirty minutes before the Crestwood Tigers and the Middleton Bears had to meet on the volleyball court, where both teams had to practice their techniques. Almost the whole school was empty with the exception of Coach Abby, Mr. Lee, both teams, and us, so this made our job a little easier. So as soon as some of the teammates for each team showed up, Tori, Robbie, and I got straight to work. We made our way quickly to the locker rooms, which was only down the corridor and behind the Hall of Fame.
