Sean and I watched as Ella and Erin walked away. Rocky kept her head down.

Sean and I look at each other. Where are they going?

Then I look at Rocky. I sat next to her and gently put my hand on her shoulder. She flinched and pushed my hand away.

"Just leave me alone" Rocky said in a whisper. She got up and walked the opposite way that Ella and Erin went.

It was just Sean and I.

Left to be confused...

And a bit anxious.

"We should look for them." Sean says at last after a long silence, "For El and Erin."

I nod and reply, "And Rocky."

"Yes, yes. Rocky as well," Sean says quickly.

I sigh and look at him.

"Well? There's no use waiting around. Let's get moving!" Sean had high spirits and was determined to not be the one guilty to break the 'friendship' between Rocky and Erin.

"Okay." I say quietly, "Who do we find first?"

"I will look for Rocky and you can look for Erin and El." Sean smiles and runs off in search for Rocky before I can even reply.

I gulped. Was I scared? Of Erin? Yes. Yes I was. What if I turned the corner and found him in a nightmarish state again? What if he hated me now. But wait... Why would he hate me? If I were him, I'd actually hate Sean! But Sean is such a nice guy...

I gathered up what was left of my courage and went to look for Erin and El.

As I walked I had to be aware not to bump into the other people and furries.

There was a group of furries playing basketball on the basketball court. Furries are generally tall, 7 feet is their minimum height and 10 is their maximum.

Erin is 9 foot, and no one else at this school was 10 feet, making Erin the tallest furry in the school.

Rarely you'll find one taller or shorter. It really depends on the species of animal they are.

I had to run past the basketball court as fast as I could. But with a broken foot it wasn't so easy. I hopped a bit and limped a bit, narrowly avoiding paws, claws, scales, feathers and hooves belonging to the stampedes of furries.

I managed to get past, and when I did, I heard someone giggling. I looked and saw a girl with pale purple hair tipped black. She had baby blue eyes like Ella's.

She had a seaweed colored longsleeve shirt with white stripes on with light green pants to match. On her head she had put a pair of black cat ears and tied a black ribbon around her waist to be a tail.

At my school, there are a lot of animal wannabes and vice versa, trust me. It's normal to see humans wearing animal things and animals to be wearing humans things, but usually that is made fun of.

"Ah, I heard the news..." The girl whispers, "I'm Kristin... You are Cameron. Correct?"

I nod and look at her, uncertain. What the heck?

Kristin grins, "A little birdie told me that Rocky kissed Erin!"

I couldn't help gape. How did she-

"I know where Erin and Ella went by the way" She said, breaking my train of thought, "Right this way..."

Kristin takes my hand and walks away with me...

~~~
Now having a closer look at Kristin. I figured out she was 15. Ugh, another strange Grade 10. I swear they are the weirdest in this whole entire school.
I also noticed she had a necklace on. It was delicately carved into a cat face and was tied around her neck with a thin chain. It glowed dimly.
As she guided me around the school to find Erin and Ella, she kept talking to herself. I couldn't exactly hear what she was saying because she was speaking quietly.
She stops in front of the school building and looks up.
I look up too.
Then Kristin runs away and calls over her shoulder, "Beware the bats!"
Believe it or not, I saw Ella looking back at me with a little smile on her face. Her feet dangling off the edge of the roof she was sitting on.
"How did you get up there? It's 3 stories high!" I call up to her.
Ella did hear me, but she just giggled in her bubbly little way of hers.
I looked around for a way up. There was an old rusty drainpipe leading to the roof.
Maybe I can climb up it.
I hobble a bit as I get to the drainpipe, Ella watching me the whole time. I firmly grip my hands on the pipe and shake it, it seems sturdy enough to carry me.
I try to grip on. I was doing well and managed to get past the first floor. My knees had scraped against the brick wall.
How come I've hurt myself so much on this one Friday? Why this Friday though? Aren't Fridays meant to be... You know, awesome and carefree?
My arms and legs start to take strain. I began to slip. After all that effort I just- huh?
A shadow casts upon me. I look up at him and he looks back. His tail had curled around the drainpipe and he had his feet on the wall as if he was crouching on it. His arms resting on his knees. He looked very calm.
Erin!
"Let go of the drainpipe..." He says softly as he takes my good hand in his.
Without hesitation, I do what he says. Now I'm dangling and he's the only one holding me up. Woohoo this is so fun, I just want to pee myself right now.
I felt a bit nervous. This is an understatement. But it wasn't long before Erin had pulled me up to the roof with him.
Erin let me go and I stood on the roof next to him. Then he sat down on the edge of the roof. Ella goes and sits next to him. Then she looks over and smiles at me in that way of hers as if to say that I should sit next to them.
I make my way slowly as to not fall off the tiled roof. Eventually, I got to Ella and Erin. I sat down slowly.
Now all three of us were looking down on the rest of the school below.
Just Ella...
Me...
And Erin...
