Chapter One
I'm almost done. I've been sitting at my wooden table writing a horror story for approximately four months now. 212 pages written. Every day and night I slave away typing and planning. My life seems to have been going in a loop for these months. Wake up, eat, plan, type, eat, type, eat, type, sleep, and repeat. Coming to think of it, I've been incredibly unhygienic. Due to the fact that I consume birth control pills, I only have my period roughly four times a year, so in these four months I have only showered about five days. I cringe at the thought. I must smell noxious. I can just picture flies swarming around me. I haven't had any social contact within the past three months. I tried staying in touch with the outer world, but it was too distracting. Plus, the few times I logged onto any social media network no one would reply to my messaged. But it's okay, I had to focus on this story.
"What time is it, Skyler?" I wonder aloud. My eyes are beginning to burn. I blink rapidly in attempt to make the burning go away and remove any blurriness. I stare at the clock on the bottom right side of my computer screen. I almost spit out the water I was drinking. It's 6:27 a.m. I turn around to look out the window and see the sun is beginning to rise. Wow, I really need to sleep, but I can't. Just one more paragraph, and I'll be done. I continue typing.
8:40 a.m. How the hell did time pass so quickly? I stare at my final product and realize instead of just one paragraph I wrote a page. However, I am finally done. Now I may sleep.
