Living In Color ~ PHAN SOULMATE AU

~ One ~ Intro ~

This is a story about two boys, Dan and Phil, they live in a universe where the world is black and white, until they lay eyes on their soulmate, then everything goes to color.

One day, Dan Howell was browsing the internet. He had just recently discovered YouTube and was so happy he did. He loved the community of creators and he couldn't wait to discover so many more creators on this website.

Dan liked surfing the internet because it got him away from the real world. His parents were always forcing him to go out and find his soulmate, but honestly, he was fine with the world in black and white. What was so special about 'color' anyway? He didn't understand. Anyway, Dan had recently turned 18 and now is family was pressuring even more for Dan to go find a girlfriend.

Dan didn't want a girlfriend.

Dan was browsing when all of a sudden, he came across a new channel,

AmazingPhil.

Dan clicked on the watch button and the boy appeared on the screen. He had long black hair with a fringe parted to the right. The boy on the screen had a deep northern accent that really drew Dan in to the video, he never looked away from Phil's face the whole time. As the video finished, he stood up. He looked around his room.

Color.

It was faint, but he could see tints of certain colors. It wasn't all black and white.

Dan didn't understand, why could he see color? He had just been browsing the internet like usual.

No, could it be? Dan kept denying it. His soulmate couldn't be Phil.

Phil was a boy. Dan knew his parents would surely disagree with a gay soulmate. Dan wanted to call for his parents, tell them that he could see color, but he knew that his parents would not accept him. So he kept it a secret. He would have to lie and pretend he couldn't see color. It was his only choice.

Dan somehow knew deep in his heart, that this was no glitch, Dan knew that when he first looked at Phil, he felt a connection. Something he had never felt before. Dan went on Twitter and used all his courage to tweet Phil.

Hey @AmazingPhil, have you met your soulmate yet?

Phil Lester, received the tweet and stared at the screen with an emotionless expression on his face. No. He hasn't found his soulmate yet. He still can't see color. That's all Phil wanted. Phil just wanted to see color, he feels like he has been missing out on so much, and he was already 23, and no color in sight. He decided to click on the profile of @danisnotonfire.

That's when it happened.

The profile, was filled with vague, tinted colors. He couldn't tell if they were at full potential, but he could see color, and that's all that mattered. He jumped from his desk and ran to the telephone to call his parents. They were ecstatic to find out that he had found his soulmate, and they were still supportive even though it was a boy. Phil smiled as he hung up and went back to Twitter.

@danisnotonfire, have you? I have.

Dan stared blankly at the screen. Phil looked at his profile, that had to be it. They were soulmates and there was nothing Dan could do. He gathered his courage and tweeted back.

@AmazingPhil Wanna meet up? I'll come to Manchester, you are my idol. :)

@danisnotonfire Okay! I would love to meet you. Saturday 12pm okay?
