It received grumbling from Owen, and a snicker from Van who took the second bag.
The bags were checked as we passed customs‘, only to bump into my father and my brother Brad. I frowned expecting to see his fighter, but was looking at Brad with heavy eyes.
“Dad? Where’s your fighter?” Waiting for the line of ‘he went a head’ or ‘in the bathroom’ neither came.
“Brad is filling in, my first pick got strep.” My heart lurched, Brad gave me a weak smile before looking at something else.
“You can’t be serious” Owen and Van had returned with coffee, but stopped just behind me as I was almost screaming.
“Riae not now” My father hissed, looking around at the few people who were staring. Something I truly didn’t give two shits about, let them stair I was pissed.
“Dad Brad doesn’t know the first thing about fighting him” I growled out the last part, hoping to god the twins wouldn’t ask me later about it.
“Riae I said not now” Huffing he gave me a fatherly look, before walking away with my brother. Fists clenched to my side, I realized my nose was flaring and I was all but kicking my feet. Owen stuck out a coffee to me, which I snatched but felt horrible afterwards.
“Sorry” Sighing I took a sip. He nodded slipping his hand into mine, before kissing the top of it. We walked the say way my father had headed, and sat a few rows back my eyes digging into both their heads. I was hoping they’d catch on fire, and be to scared to fight. Okay maybe that was a little harsh, but this was my fight and having Brad fight it for me was like a swift kick to the balls. Hypothetically of course. I drank my coffee in silence, with the twins arms draped over the back of my chair. They were looking at me, but not making a point to ask…at least not yet.
The flight was boring, a movie played but I decided that sleep was going to be the best thing for me. Owen had the isle leaving me in the middle and Van at the window, the arm rests were pulled up and the twins allowed me to lay not only on my seat but on them as well. Van had put his ear bud in listening to some music, while Owen held a E reader playing with my hair that was laying over his leg. The pillow he got me was comfortable as I mingle it with his thigh, Van rubbed my legs helping me forget some of the anger I was feeling.
If I got hot or cold, the twins would blow the small round fans on me or grab the blanket the plane provided. Already they were spoiling more, and I couldn’t be more thankful for them. Getting one man to treat you like a queen was one thing, but I ended up getting two. I expected the dirty looks, or the chase remarks from other woman who would be jealous. This didn’t bother me, it was the looks I got from the men that started to twist my insides. As if they thought I was doing something very odd, or maybe they thought the twins weren’t enough man. Either way it pissed me off, my men were gods by themselves putting them together was like a twister and a earthquake joining forces.
Our hotel was just outside the main building to the fight, it was just as large and just as busy as the fighters building. Checking in took no time, since I had already preorder everything. The Cunnings still weren’t pleased with this, and I got to hear about it all the way up to our room. The elevator door dinged open, with me rolling my eyes as Van and Owen ordered me never to buy anything again without them present.
“Guys give it a res…” I froze speech no where to be found, not even a squeak came out. The twins came up next to me brushing their shoulder against my arms, I wanted to scream, kick, and beat the living shit out of this particular man. He hadn’t noticed me yet, to busy flirting with the redhead and blonde. My upper lip twitched, eyes narrowed, fists clenched and the hair on the back of my neck rose to its highest. Hot breath blew into my reddening ears, causing me to melt all the anger.
“Relax baby, or well fuck you right here” Owen hummed, I was almost willing to let him. The sheer look on that man’s face would be worth every penny, not to mention the way the twins were built it over killed the hole situation.
