about a week later, I still wasn't talking to Draco. He as so oblivious as to my I was ignoring him! After what hHermione said at the start of the year, I wasn't even sure if I was a muggle-born. And after he called me a mud-blood on outer first day, I thought he'd've learnt his lesson. I feel like punching him in the face.
"Earth to Nieve!" Freya said as she plonked in a chair next to me.
"Yes?" I raised an eyebrow.
"I have several questions to ask you." She replied, leaning forward.
"Carry on" I said in a bored tone.
"Number one, why are you sat in the common room, alone? It's a nice day outside! Number two, why have you been so been distant recently? Number three, why are you suddenly avoiding Draco? You were great friends!"
"Okay?" I replied, contemplating my answers. "Number one, I don't like people. Number two, Iv been thinking about my life and how I should live it. Number three, I feel like seriously hurt that slime ball. But I don't want to.... Do you know what I mean?"
"Yeah, kind of! Please come outside! Come and watch the Quiddich practice with me!" She begged. "PppplllleeeeAaasssseeeee!" She sang.
"No you crazy lady! Slytherins aren't practicing today, anyway." I laughed in reply. "Also, It's raining. I don't DO rain."
"MAN UP, WOMAN!" She shouted
"That makes no sense! Logic out of ten, Freya!" I rose from my seat. "I have homework to do"
"you NEVER do homework!" She whined. "And I- someone's here to see you" before I could inquire about her behaviour, she rushed off and left me with the one person I didn't want to see.
"Draco." I said smoothly.
"Nieve." He replied. There was an awkward pause so I took the liberty of breaking the silence.
"I'm just gonna..." I muttered, making my way to the dorms.
"No." Draco said firmly.
"What did you just say?" I asked, shocked.
"No. You're not ignoring me again." He spoke sternly, taking a step towards me.
"Since when did you have power over me, Malfoy?" I glared at him and took a step backwards.
"Never. No one could ever control you. But I can ask you a question... Can't i?" He smirked and sat in the chair that I had just risen from.
"Yes, you can. But I don't need to answer to you!" I spat the last word.
"Why are you ignoring me Nieve? We were such good friends!" His expression softened.
"Because every time I see your bloody face I want to punch it! But I don't want to hurt you." I explained to him, not making eye contact.
"What!? Why!?" He exclaimed.
"Don't act like you don't know!" I cried.
"Know WHAT!?" He shouted a reply.
"Mud-blood" I whispered, looking down at my feet.
"What did you say?"
"MUD-BLOOD GOD DAMN IT!" I screamed and walked towards him.
"What about it? The last time I called you one was when we first met." He said, confused.
"You called Hermione one. You called her a mud-blood in front of me!" I exclaimed. It's like he was oblivious to the fact that I actually had feelings! And opinions!
"Nieve I..." She started but I cut him off.
"Don't, Draco! Don't even!" I said harshly before storming out of the common room, leaving him stunned.
Shit
I sprinted through the hall ways and up the stairs until ire ached the astronomy tower. Panting, I sat on a bench. I just ran from one end of the school to the other, no wonder I'm out of breath.
"What have I done?" I muttered. I just fought with my best friend. The one who was always there for me. He was great! But he is such a little shit! Whatever. I need to find Sarrah and Freya. We need to do something. Could it wait till after di- oh wait, Iv missed dinner! Whoopsies!

"SARRAH! FREYA! WHERE ARE YOU?" I shouted when I reached the empty common room, too lazy too hunt for them.
"I'm here! What happened!?" Sarrah ran into the room, her face filled with worry. That girl overreacted sometimes...
"Nothing, I was just wondering if you wanted to go to the lake." Te lake was out little hiding place. Away from the rest of Hogwarts.
"THE LAKE!?" Freya screamed, jumping inbetween us.
"Yes! the Lake!" I said with sarcastic enthusiasm. Her smile turned into a pout. I laughed
"Oh, come on!" I said and turned to exit the common room.
"Excuse me!" A small voice stopped me. "Can I join you?" a girl with brown eyes and dark hair past her shoulders stepped into the light. She was new. Joined this year, I didn't really speak to her. She was shy... for a Slytherin. I looked at Sarrah & Freya. They nodded.
"Come on. I'm Nieve. This is Freya and Sarrah."
"I know. Everyone knows who you are!" She smiled. "I'm Brittany. Brittany Isaia!"
"Okay... follow us." We lead her out of te common room and through multiple hallways - hiding from Filch or teachers - until we exit the castle and head down to the lake. The setting sun was causing the sky to turn a beautiful range of oranges and pinks.
"So, where did you go before Hogwarts?" I asked Brittany.
"Oh... um... I just... was." She stuttered. "I was... HOMESCHOOLED!"
I gave her a look.
"I mean... sure, I was homeschooled." She blushed. Strange.
"Whatever, we're here! Come on!" I gestured for her to follow me.
You know how I told you that the window next to my bed looked over the lake? Well, after a bit of searching, we found a place that was hidden behind multiple large boulders near the lake and on the edge on the forbidden forest.
"Woah! Cool!" She gasped as we entered a clearing.
A large round clearing with multiple different bright flowers dotted through the surrounding bushes.
"Yeah..." Freya smiled and nodded her head. "We come out here to escape all the hustle and bustle of Hogwarts. Only our close trusted friends can know about it."
"So... me?" Brittany asked meekly.
"You're one of us now Britt!" I laughed and put an arm around her.
"So why'd you wanna come 'ere?" Freya asked, flopping on the overgrown green grass.
"Draco." I replied, sitting on a rock. "We had a fight... Again!"
Sarrah laughed. "About...?"
"He called Hermione a mud-blood in front of me. I know that it shouldn't bother me but ever since that carriage ride, Iv been so protective over my blood status! I might not even be muggle born, for all I know!" I explained.
"We'll, as far as I know, he sounds like a bit of a git" Brittany said, frowning.
"Yeah, but we're such good friends!" I sighed. A silence drifted over us as we sat awkwardly.
"Come on."Sarrah said, walking towards the lake.
"Sarrah?" Freya asked. We both knew that she had an idea, and not necessarily a good one!
"Come ooon!" Sarrah called, while taking off her shoes and socks. "Let's have some fun."
"I'm in." Brittany laughed, removing her shoes and socks also.
"Whatever." I chuckled as me and Freya did the same.
"Follow moi!" Sarrah giggled, dipping her bare feet into the dark lake water. "It's shallow here, but be careful!"
"Why are we doing this?" Freya asked.
"Fun!" I giggled and to a step in the water. "Crap! It's bloody freezing! What is wrong with you woman!?"
"I never said it would be warm!" Sarrah laughed. Her and Brittany had waded out, knee deep, into the dark waters.
"Wait up!" I laughed and awkwardly tried to run through the water.
"Idiot!" I herd Freya mutter, behind me.
"This is crazy. Who knows what's in this water?" Brittany said, looking around with a conserved look on her face.
"You were singing a different tune earlier." I stated.
"Yeah, but I just thought i saw something move in the water." She explained.
"I-I'm sure it wa just... your imagination! Yeah!" Sarrah stuttered. I was about to agree when felt something brush against my leg. I screamed and rushed back to shore. The others laughed at me but they also, cautiously made their way to the dry grass on the edge on the lake.
We sat there, talking for hours and the moon was high in the sky by the time we made out way up to the castle.
"Stop!" I screeched and started to run faster. Sarrah was tickling me furiously and I HATED it. "DUDE! Dont!" I screamed, holding my arms out infront of me - as I if was holding them off. "Please?"
"Okay okay" she laughed. "Come on" she grabbed my hand and pulled me into the castle. We we're laughing so hard, I'm honestly surprised that we didn't get caught by Filch.
"Oh, here it is!" Brittany said when we reached the common room. In a rush, we bustled trough the opening into the quiet common room. I sighed in relief because there was no one to tell us off.
"Where have you BEEN!?"

Shit
