"We clawed, we chained our hearts in vain
We jumped never asking why
We kissed, I fell under your spell.
A love no one could deny

Don't you ever say I just walked away," I sang as I'm driving to school.

"Katie, if you don't stop singing, then I'll be the one who walks away," Josh says as he covers his face hiding away from people walking by. "What do you mean, I'm an amazing singer," I said pulling into a parking spot.

Josh looks at me attempting to look serious. "Katie, people are running away from the sound of your voice. See, look at those poor kids," he says motioning at the people around us.

"You're just jealous," I say while getting out of my car.

We were walking into the school, when my best friend Jenna was walking up to us. "Jenna!!" I ran to her, and hugged her. "Josh is being an ass, save me from his smelliness," I said as she started laughing.

"It's not my fault Katie can't sing," he says pushing me away from Jenna and kissing her.

"This is school guys. Do that at home," I said while going to my locker to give them "privacy" if there's even any at school.

As I was puting my books in my locker, I heard Jenna and Josh having a quiet but loud argument.

'I'm not getting involved in that,' I thought in my head and made my way towards homeroom.

I walked in the class, and saw Jenna and Josh not sitting next to each other so I sat next to Jenna.

"Uhm what's wrong with you and Josh?" I asked but she shrugged her shoulders, turning around to get something from her backpack.

After a few minutes of silence between us, the teacher, Ms. Abortson finally came in.

"BE QUIET!!" she yelled at the class as talking continued to go on. "I'm going to take attendance, so when I call your name, just raise your hand," she said as she pulled out the attendance sheet.

"Wendy.
Walter.
Matthew.
Peyton.
Tyler.
Brad.
Jefferson.
Renae.
Josh.
Jenna.
Wanda.
Stephanie.
Lisa.
Crystal.
And lastly Katie-" "HERE!" I slightly shouted.

"Katie, I said to raise your hand," she said gritting her teeth, while a small smile went on my face. "So you think this is funny?" she said gritting her teeth even more.

I shook my head no, with a small smile on my face. "Do you ever listen! You have detention afterschool-", "But I didn't even do anything! Just because you're in a grumpy mood, doesn't mean you have to make the beginning of the day bad for everyone else!" I shouted, as she became furious.

"You now have detention for a week!" She yelled. "What the hell?!" I shouted as she pointed her finger towards the door.

I stormed out and was about to make my way to the principals office when I felt someone grab my arm.

I turned around to see it was Ms. Abortson. I tried pulling my arm out of her grip but she started to grip tighter.

"LET GO OF ME!! YOU DONT HAVE A RIGHT TO TOUCH ME!!!!" I yelled as people started coming into the hallways.

"I'm taking you to the deans," she said, as she started to pull me.

Once we were in the dean's office, she let go of my arm to see it was a dark red color showing that her hand mark was there.

"LOOK WHAT YOU DID, YOU SORRY EXCUSE OF A TEACHER!!" I yelled as the principal came into the dean's office.

"Can you explain what's going on here?!!?" The principal, Mr. Perez said.

"Gladly" I answered. "Well I was in class, and just because I said 'here' instead of raising my hand, she got super mad. So I kept my smile on my face because I'm not going to let a teacher ruin my day already! So then she said I had detention just for smiling, and when I kept smiling, she said I have a week of detention!! Like I did nothing! So now my arm is starting to leave a bruise because she was grabbing me, when she's not supposed to!" I said out of breath.

"Is this true Ms. Abortson?" Mr. Perez asked. "Not at all sir, let me explain."

"All of that happened except for the grabbing part, she must've bumped when I sent her outside," she said.

"That is a fucking lie! If I bumped into a wall, it wouldn't be turning purple now!!" I shouted.

"Katie, watch your mouth! Now you really do have a week of detention." Mr. Perez yelled.

The bell rung, and I stormed out the deans office to my next class, which was AP calculus.

As I was sitting in the chair, trying to listen to my math teacher, something popped in head. I think I have a plan to get rid of Ms. Abortson.
