Chapter 15 - I'm Leaving

'I'm done with this Katie.'

Those words just kept on repeating and repeating in my mind as I stood outside, watching him walk away. I could've went after him, and reassured him that nothing was going on, but instead, I didn't. I never would've thought he would say those words to me, especially since we're more connected, but I thought wrong.

Many thoughts were going through my head as I just stared off, and the image of Walter and Veronica together suddenly came to mind. The image of them kissing and making love made me physically and mentally sick.

I wish I would've known he was expecting a child, then I know for sure, I would've rejected him.

After standing outside for a long period of time, I decided that I didn't want to go back in and I didn't want to face the stares that would be coming my way, so I pulled out my phone and called my mom.

"Hey mom, can you come get me from school, I'm not feeling so well."

-15 minutes later-

The car ride home was silent. It was so silent that I could hear my heart beating inside of my chest, without me even trying to focus on the sound.

As soon as I got in the house, I was embraced with my dad shouting at me. "How could you do that Katie??! Why would you cheat on your mate who's the alpha of our pack?! Didn't we raise you better than that?" my dad shouts.

"I didn't cheat on him! Dad relax. He walked in to seeing me hugging a friend, and got mad over it," I said trying to explain. "Why were you even hugging a guy, knowing that you have a mate!? Many people don't get to find their mate, and die without them, but here you are just taking advantage of having one!! I can't believe this Katie. You're such a disgrace to the family, the pack, and your mate." he said walking away, shaking his head.

Tears were rolling down my cheeks as I realized that maybe my dad is right. I am a disgrace. Many people don't get to meet their mate, and not all people are lucky enough to have a mate who's an alpha, and I just took advantage of that. So maybe I should just give up on my mate, so he would find someone much more better than I am.

I'm leaving.

Hey, it's been a while of not updating due to writers block, but here you go. I tried my best, especially since I'm a bit rusty with writing.
